-Katerina's POV-
I groaned as I got out of bed. "I hate school," I muttered to myself as I put on my clothes. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Jake was there to greet me. "Good morning, lil sis!" He smiled as he handed me a plate. On the plate there was eggs, bacon, sausages and toast. "Yum, thanks!" I fake smiled as I sat down.

I ate all the food. "You know, I'm so proud of you," Jake said. "Why?" I asked. "You recovered from anorexia. That's a very hard thing to do," he explained. "Oh um... Yeah, I'm proud of myself too," I said. In reality, I'm not. I wish they never noticed my weight. I want to be skinnier. Mom came downstairs. "Bye guys, have a good day at school," she said as she hugged me and Jake. "Bye Mom!" Jake exclaimed. "See ya later, Mom," I said.

I packed my school bag as Mom left the house. I sighed as I checked my time table. I have gym with Maggie Greenwoods today. She's one of my bullies. I put my lunch box in my bag and the rest of my books. "Bye Jake," I said. "Goodbye Kat," Jake said as I exited the house.

I turned the corner and there was Maggie Greenwoods and her group. "Look! Its the fat, smelly tomcat," Maggie sneered. Her friends snickered. "Are woo gunna cwy for wour family? I bet they don't even care about you!" She laughed. Then I heard David say "Let's get her!" I tried to run away but they pushed me into a wall. David started kicking me and Lisa slapped me across the face. I pushed through them and ran away. "Damn right you better run for your life, slut!" Maggie shouted.

I burst into tears. "I wish I didn't have to put up with this," I cried as I walked through the school gates. The bell rang just as I entered. I went to my locker and taped on it was multiple notes. They said 'emo', 'fag', 'cut yourself' and 'go to hell'. I ripped them down as I got the books I would need for the next few classes.

I walked into chemistry and Ms Grady gave us an assignment. We had to pair up for this. I walked over to Louise and fake smiled. "How you doin'?" she asked in her New Jersey accent. "Great!" I lied. "What about you?" "Just as good as heaven," she replied. Half way through our assignment I asked for a bathroom pass.

I walked down the hall and turned into the bathroom. I locked myself in a cubicle and dug through my pockets. "Aha," I smiled as I pulled out a shiny, metal object. My blade. I pulled up my sleeve and dragged the sharp item across my wrist. There was not much space so I just opened up cuts I already made. I let a few tears slip. After a few minutes, I washed my face and went back to class.

At lunch time I walked to my locker alone. Inside was a note from Louise. It read; sorry. Got sick, went home. I groaned knowing that I would now have to put up with Maggie. I walked to the cafeteria and ordered my lunch. When I walked to a table, I tripped over something and fell to the ground. I banged my head really hard. "Ow!" I shouted. I heard laughing. Some 12th grader had his leg stuck out. I cursed under my breath and went to my locker so I could get my packed lunch. "Guess I'll have no lunch later," I muttered.

After school I had to yet again deal with Maggie Greenwoods and her gang. I got home where Jake greeted me with a hug. He's so optimistic I muttered. After dinner I locked myself in my room and cried into my pillow. I cut myself again. Suddenly there was a knock on my door. "Huh, who is it," I said as I quickly wiped my face. "It's your father," I heard Dad's voice say. "Come in," I said.

Jake came in too. He had a confused look. "What's going on?" I mouthed. Jake shrugged. "Well, guys, I'm afraid to say that your mom is moving... To Texas," Dad informed us. "What!" Jake shouted. "Why!" I exclaimed. "There's been a horrible crime and they don't know how long it will take to solve," He replied. "Oh. Can we see her before she goes?" Asked Jake. "She's gone already," Dad said. "But she wouldn't go without saying good bye..." I said, puzzled. "Yes well, she was Ina hurry. Just try not to think about it ," Said Dad as he left the room.
