chapter 1- iris thanatos

"what a Witch..." Chloe murmurs to her friends as she pins me against the lockers

"let me...go"

"Bahaha look at this loser" one of Chloe's minions call out as all of them starts giggling

"Why'd you snitch" chloe asks me but i don't respond and just look away

"If you ever dare to snitch again, I will kill you" Chloe whispers to me as she releases me and walks away to her boyfriend.

I go over to my locker to get my history book for next class.

"Hey you okay, Iris" the newbie who gets bullied all the time by chloe asks, i respond with just nod "you didn't have to tell miss T about chloe bullying me, you know" she adds as she adjusts her glasses "don't tell me what to do bro" i respond back with a scoff and walk away to history class.

I sat down in a seat and started taking notes (not really just doodling)  as the history teacher kept discussing about ancient greek.

"Ahh.." I gasp out as I start having one of those really painful migraines, I hold my head in my hands as the pain shot deeper "you okay miss Thanatos" the history teacher asks me before I levitate up in the air and everything goes black...

...

I grunt as I wake up in a hospital bed with my body covered in blood.

The last thing I remember was me in history class and I started having those migraines and I started floating on air.

I just lie in bed having nothing to do..."Turns out your daughter is cursed did you know anything about this before" i overhear a doctor telling that to my mum and dad "we had no idea...but for information she is not our biological daughter" my mum says out to the doctor...i am adopted...how come she never told this to me before.

"She is a danger to the society...and to yourselfs i suggest you give her off" the doctor explained to my parents as my parents nodded

(timeskip)

It has been 2 days since that incident. I stopped going to school, I knew I was expelled.

I still couldn't stop thinking about that day

So many thoughts entered my mind ...adopted...cursed...give me off...

And ofcourse my parents agreeing to that...

"Iris," my dad calls from downstairs, "what happened" i said as i came downstairs

"Start packing your bags'' he tells me coldly from behind the kitchen island "why...what's going on" i say to him confused "your gonna go somewhere" my mum says stepping back as i come closer to them, "am i adopted..." i ask in my shaky voice they just look at each other, back to me and nod "and your cursed we can't have you here" dad says as i breakdown into tears, my mum comes close to me and gives me one last hug...but as soon as she touches me she turns pale and her eyes stopped blinking, her body cold as ice i touch her wrist looking for the pulse but it stopped to my horror, my eyes turn wide as my dad backs of picking up a knife looking straight at me

"Ahhhh!" i scream out a pitched scream as the migrain comes back again but 10 times stronger

I float up on air still screaming my lungs out as my back aches and some black bird wings sore out from them tearing my cloths apart my eyes burn as they turn a reddish hue

I lost control over my body as i charge at my dad the next thing is...blood...tears

I sit in a puddle of blood until I hear police car sirens and that's when I blackout...

I wake up the next morning in a different place, i wake up to see a lady with light orange hair ,and pale skin, sitting beside me, looking over at me "good morning" she tells me as i sit up in bed "i am lilly dragonheart although students call me miss dragonheart, you came here last night...your powers are something...something that is too unique for ordinary people like them" she starts explaining as i listen to her in silence "but to us your normal, there are many people like you in this school i'm sure you will make many friends here" she adds with a smile and walks out of my room leaving me alone.

I wake up from my bed exploring the room the room was very big it had a bed in a side, and a desk, above that desk was moving boxes with my stuff, the room was screaming 1900 vintage style with big red curtains around the balcony windows, the room had a red couch with a built in fireplace with a soft cozy rug, and finally a bathroom.

First, I unpack all of my stuff.

Under one of the moving boxes i notice a envelope with a letter that says 'principal hart'

I sit on my bed reading it

Iris thanatos, you dont know where you are, who i am, and what you did, or have to do.

You killed your mother and father unintentionally , this academy its called ivygreen, you are at your dorm in the 'akumas tower' please take a shower and miss dragonheart will show you around.

I read the letter and remember all about yesterday as a tear roll down my eye but I wipe it away.

I look into the bathroom mirror before taking a shower. I still look the same. with straight black hair with neon green streaks in the front, and light olive skin but one thing that did change is that now i have big black wings, ones of a raven that i can fold and unfold

After the cold shower i decided to wear a really really dark hoodie i usually wear with light blue jeans. and walked out of the dorm greeted by miss dragonheart who is right in front of me

"Hi?" I said kind of awkwardly as she waved me back, and pulled my wrist showing me around the Akumas Tower. "This is the girls dormitory, mainly known as Akumas tower," she says, showing me around. She shows me the entrance to the boys dormitory known as 'Osiris hall' she told me not to enter there and never bring boys over to my dorm, she showed me to the atrium which is basically the courtyard the atrium had a big statue of a man called william whitlock who was the founder of this academy and finally she brought me to principal harts office.

"So Iris thanatos, how do you like your dorm room?" principal Hart asks me "i really like it, it's really vintage" i answer back, "thats nice to know" she says. "So i need to talk to you about your powers" she says and i just sit in silence

"You can kill anyone with a touch if you feel like although you can control it sometimes you can't, and you have a additional power that is light bending" she adds

I just look at my hands, am i really that deadly-

"Everyone will be at the atrium in 2 hours" she says interrupting my thought, looking at her watch, it was 5:00 AM

"Your uniform is in your dorm with your books" She adds i just respond with a "okay" and walk my way to the akumas tower

"Ouch" i gasp out as i bumped into a dude, he had ocean blue eyes and fairly white skin, he was wearing a brown beanie and the school uniform  

i just ignored everything around him, staring into those ocean blue eyes (cringe ahh) 

"Im soo sorry" he says

"You must be the new student here right" he adds

"Yea Iris, Iris thanatos" I say as I reach out an arm for him to shake "I am aden, aden gray' he says as he shakes my hand.

I come back to my dorm unpacking and moving around a few things and it was saturday thats why we didn't have any class...
