Search and Separation

Mammon led Nikolas back to Niko's room. Mammon opened his door and led him inside, with Nikolas clinging tight to his arm. When they get inside, Nikolas lets go and pulls Mammon by the head and onto the bed, then gets in his lap and clings again. Mammon held him while blushing heavily, saying, "You'll be back to normal soon Niko.. back to talking to everyone but me again..". Niko buried his face in Mammon's chest and getting an idea, he leaned up and kissed him. Mammon became a full-on tomato, but not wanting to risk the chance of upsetting the love-drugged boy in his arms, he kissed back, holding the kiss. The kiss went on for a few minutes before Mammon broke it. Nikolas whimpered softly when he broke the kiss, his face saddened. "H-hey it's okay", Mammon said as he lays down, pulling Niko with him. Nikolas's whimpers hushed and he snuggled against him. Mammon softly smiled as he ran a hand through his hair gently. "Why do I want you to stay like this..?", Mammon thought to himself as Niko cuddled him. After about 15 minutes, Nikolas fell asleep in his arms. Mammon took this as the opportunity to carefully get out of Niko's grasp and replaced himself with a pillow. He then snuck out of the room, closing the door quietly behind him.

Meanwhile, the remaining demon brothers were in the library. They were all searching for a book that could be of use to them. This is almost out of the ordinary, but the brothers were doing it for one purpose only: To get Nikolas back to his old self so everyone could fairly sweep him off his feet. The door to the library opened and they almost stopped in unison and saw Mammon. "Mammon? Where's Nikolas?", Beel asked and Lucifer chimed in, "You were supposed to keep an eye on him, why are you here?". "Nikolas is asleep. I didn't want to disturb him so I left. What are you guys doing?", Mammon questioned. Satan replied, "We're trying to find any books related to the stuff that Levi bought and handed to Nikolas so we can try to find any way to make things back to where they were". Mammon wanted to say how he felt, but he choked it back and asked, "I'll help you". When Mammon started helping, it was 10 minutes later when Asmo exclaimed, "Found it! It's 'The History of Cupid's Poison'". Asmo walked over to Satan, who had stopped searching when he heard Asmo and handed the book over. "Thank you", Satan said as he started to open and go through each page. "Ah, here it is. It says here that Cupid's Poison was originally brewed by a witch who was destined to make her true love lover her", Satan read. He flipped through more pages before reading off, "This poison contains a high level of an aphrodisiac and curse. Whoever ingests this, of any race, shall fall for the first person they gaze upon and there are 7 days before the effects become permanent. The different ways one individual can be cured is...". 

As Satan read off the list of possible remedies, Mammon got lost in his thoughts. He didn't want Nikolas to be out of the grasp of the poison. He loved that Nikolas gave him so much attention while under this influence. It felt so wrong but felt so right that he wanted him to remain like this. When Satan looked up from the book, he saw Mammon had slipped out. "Where did Mammon go?", he asked. Meanwhile, Mammon was on the way back to the room his sleeping beauty was when his D.D.D started going off. He pulled it out and his eyes widened when he saw it was Nikolas. He hurried back to the room and when he stepped foot in the room, Niko clung onto him tight. He whimpered, "Where did you go?". Mammon replied holding him, "I left so I could let you sleep, I'm sorry if I worried you", sounding nicer than he usually was. This was because he refused to make Nikolas upset while he was in that state. Niko just clung onto him tighter and Mammon picked him up in a bridal carry, which made Niko blush. Mammon carried him to the bed and sat down and put him in his lap. Niko turned himself so he could face Mammon and clung to him tight. "I love you Mammon", Niko said as he buried his face in Mammon's chest. Mammon smiled and replied as he gently ran a hand up and down his back, "I..I love you too Nikolas, I always did". Hearing that made Niko smile. He looked up at him. "Will you be my one and only?", Niko asked. That made Mammon blush and he replied, "Yes.. yes I will". 

After hearing that sentence, Niko's exposed iris flashed red. That sentence made the effect on him more extreme. Mammon noticed a hint of red and worry filled him. "Nikolas, your eye just flashed red...-", Mammon said. Nikolas didn't reply with words, but he pulled Mammon into a deep kiss. Mammon tensed up for a second before he closed his eyes and kissed back as deeply. There was soon a knock on the door as the pair kissed. Mammon broke the kiss, which made his short lover whimper. "Nikolas? Mammon?", Lucifer said from the other side of the door. Mammon got up and went to open the door. Lucifer stepped in when the door opened. "Mammon", Lucifer started, "We just figured out the remedy to snap Nikolas out of this state. Have Nikolas down to the library in five minutes". Mammon shook his head. "N-no, no way I'm taking Nikolas there! He's fine the way he is and doesn't need your help to-". Lucifer glared at him. "What did you just say to me?", he asked, sounding pissed. Mammon gulped and Lucifer started walking to Nikolas. When Lucifer got closer, Niko, who was sitting on the bed when Mammon got up to answer the door, backed up to the wall. Lucifer grabbed him by the hand and said, "You're coming with me, Nikolas". Niko tried to pull his hand away as Lucifer pulled him up to his feet and towards the door. "Mammon, help me!!!", Nikolas pleaded, sounding scared. Lucifer glared when Mammon took a step toward them. "Lucifer let me go!!! I want Mammon, not you!!!", Nikolas pleads again. Lucifer's eyes widen in shock and he glares at Mammon again as he pulled Niko out of the room and closed the door behind them. Nikolas's begs could be heard as he said while getting led down to the library, "I love him Lucifer, I need him!!!".

"Nikolas!!!", Mammon yelled as he ran out the door to try to catch up to them. To stop them before it's too late.
