The day I saw Blake for the first time was the day that he realized that he had a forever home and that he was showing me how to love unconditionally and wholeheartedly. The day I went up to adopt I had seen two other dogs before Blake came out.. When they brought Blake out I was kneeling on the ground and he came out and sat down on my lap and looked up at me as if to say don't leave without taking me home with you. From that day forward he was my dog. I didn't have him long when the guy I was dating did the least intelligent thing he could have done he let him lose in Barre City and I would later find him at the Humane Society and looking back I should have made the guy that did it pay to spring Blake out of "doggie Jail". I brought him home and everything seemed fine. I had adopted Blake when he was 7 and half years old and had started going blind he was fully blind a year later. Blake also had some other medical issues as well. I was sitting at a desk and I had bent over to pick him and I placed him length wise across the desk with his head against my right shoulder and as he was resting he was telling me it was time for him to go because he was in a lot of pain. I always knew that the day was going to come when I'd have to put him down and on January 3, 2020 I made not only the painful but the humane decision to end his pain.
