His phone rings at an absurd time at night, (Y/n) has never received a call past 2 am unless it were an emergency, so when he sees it's Gun's contact, he half expects the other person on the line to ask if he knew Gun seeing that they've been talking recently through messages. 

"Morning babe" (Y/n) answers with a hum, he's been awake for a while, waiting for his meds to set in before he could properly go to bed. He still had another 15 minutes until the effects would help him rest, with the whole Katherine situation still going on, him and King have been on high alert. 

". . . You were awake before I called you, weren't you?" Gun suspects, he hesitates when (Y/n) laughs "What, were you hoping to hear me all groggy and shit?" 

Gun audibly fumes a bit at the snarky reply, (Y/n) feels as though the man just rolled his eyes at him "No, I got time off today so I was going to ask if you weren't busy" (Y/n) feels a yawn coming on, sighing out his reply "Yeah, sure, gonna cash in our date?" 

". . . Yeah" 
"Cute, alright. Let me head to bed now, seems like now I got a reason as to be well rested" (Y/n) is already hanging up when he hears Gun about to say something else, his words are cut off when he hangs up but (Y/n) shrugs. Turning off his lamp, (Y/n) connects his phone to his charge and smiles at the little notification that pops up.

"Sleep well, I'll pick you up after class"

. . .

Daniel was being weird, he won't stop looking at some girl named "Yui"

Zack, Mira, Zoe, and Jay decided to join their "nerd group" today for lunch, (Y/n) has been avoiding eating lunch with Vin and Mary since their conflict, so he's settled with eating at the Pretty boy table. 

"What's up with him" (Y/n) turns to Zack, he sits next to the dude, he should know something. Yet surprisingly, Zack sheepishly smiles and Mira speaks up "Zack sleeps during most of our classes, he's not entirely sure what's going on around him during that time" She giggles, making Zack look away flustered. 

(Y/n) can tell that Zack does know, but he's keeping quiet for now. 

"Yui has been talking to Daniel today quite a bit" Mira does add on, wanting to at least give (Y/n) a little bit of information at the least about what might be up "Do you think he's caught feelings?" Mira turns to ask Zoe on her right, but Zoe just huffs and shakes her head, not wanting to explain herself as she stuffs her face with a bit of food to avoid talking. 

Everyone is quiet now, doing their own thing, Mira is scrolling on her phone with Zoe over her shoulder, Jay is reading a book, Zack is sneaking glances at Mira while he eats, Duke is making up lyrics with every word Jiho spews, and Daniel is. . . still staring at Yui.

(Y/n) is gonna disrupt the peace, he's done, so while standing up he casually declared "I've got a date this afternoon, so keep Daniel out of trouble for me" 

All eyes from the table turn to him now, (Y/n) can even feel a few on his back from other tables as he's picking up his tray.

"What?!" Zack is shocked, lifting his head up to look at the (h/c)-ette while Jay is struggling to call (Y/n) back to elaborate, Mira and Zoe are begging him to return to the table and give all the details, Duke is smiling at them while Jiho seems annoyed. Daniel on the other hand, has been pulled from his Yui trance and is now looking at (Y/n)'s back as he leaves, he has a date?
