"He feeds on the 'evil' that seeps out during conversations between people."

You watched as a woman with long, light blue hair and a man with jet black hair — who also had a paper with a big X written on it covering his face — conversed with a box named 'Malkuth'.
When you came to work for L. Corp — also known as Lobotomy Corporation — you didn't think that you'd see an AI — as that was a heavy crime according to the Head — but you couldn't file a complaint about it nor could you rat them out because you needed money. Besides, would the Head even listen to you regarding whatever you said about L. Corp? They were the energy corporation that was responsible for powering up the entire City as well as being one of the Wings of the World, what were the chances of them even listening to what you said?
You sighed. Maybe you shouldn't be thinking negatively about a company that you just began working for? Or maybe you should since you weren't a stranger to the rumours that surrounded the Wings. From organ trafficking to human experimentation, the Wings were rumoured to do all sorts of heinous crimes so your negativity was only natural.
Then again, it wasn't like the Backstreets — the slums where you used to live in — were any better, it had the same heinous crimes committed everywhere much like the Wings. The world you lived in sucked overall so you couldn't avoid crime or death wherever you went. The Nest — L. Corp's nest to be specific — was the only safe place you could think of where you and your younger siblings would be out of harm's way and even that place had its faults.
The only reason that you decided to work in L. Corp was both because of the pay and the fact that you would be able to move your siblings to their Nest with ease. If it turned out that you were going to be a part of human experimentation and that would lead to you not being able to go back home to your siblings then... you'd rather not think about what would happen in that scenario.
You looked around the Control Department — the only department that was available right now — as you waited for the two humans and one box to stop conversing with one another. You were a little envious of them since aside from all four of you, there was no one else in the department. But you're not exactly the most social person so having a fifth person might not make that much of a difference.
You listened in on their conversation — only partly because you didn't want to get into trouble because you were bored of waiting — to see what they were talking about but didn't gather much. The only thing you could say for sure was that the black-haired man was the manager, the man responsible for supervising the entire facility.
Soon enough, all three of them left so you guessed that your shift would be starting soon. It was about time, too, because you were getting tired of staring into the green monitors that were in the yellow room. Your employee manual stated that you would be given orders or tasks through the work tablet that the company provided so you took it out and waited for the task that you would be receiving soon.
-Perform attachment work on O-03-03
There it was, your first task.
You guessed that O-03-03 was the monster — or the abnormality as the company referred to them — that you were going to be working on while attachment was the work type that you would be performing. From what you were told, attachment work meant that you would act as a companion for the abnormality. Well, you weren't told that to be exact, you just assumed that was the case because the employee manual didn't offer words when you read the part about types of work, it only showed pictures — one for each work type, four in total — so you barely had a clue as to what you needed to do.
