I am sick of this place! My foster parents are the worst they make me do everything in the house; cook, clean, shop and everything they don't like to do. I feel like Cinderella!
The news have really annoyed me lately. It's all about how there is no more government and we need a new leader. The next time I hear this in the news I'm gonna scream!
As I walk "home" from school I see a people whole bunch of surrounding the TV in the shops. I was curious so I went to see what was happening. "Diana, come" I heard my friend Sarah say. I headed toward her. "What's going on?" I asked. "You have to see this!" She said excitedly. I've know Sarah for a long tin and she doesn't get excited much, this must be a big thing. A few girls leave and I see a commercial . It said "Now that the government has been voted out we will need royals to rule. From each city we will pick one random person, boy or girl to be in the competition to become the king or queen. Go to the city hall to put in a ballot of your name and we will choose the winner in a week. Ages 16-22 ". This can be my chance to escape my awful foster parents. "Are you gonna put your name in?" Sarah asked. "Definitely" I replied.
Before I went home I went to city hall to put my name in. I left and skipped back home. One week, I thought.
