I fixed my luggage in the overhead bin and sat next to my manager.
"I hope that you have improved your Korean. This role can provide you with opportunities," Frederick says. I've been doing papers of second lead more than main lead, which is okay considering my short time in the TV show industry. Finding a role like this, which makes me the first foreign part of the main cast, is a great accomplishment for my career. I love my work, and I hope this help me in the future for other roles.
I proceed to see him drinking his water. "Of course! I've been watching a lot of k-dramas and everything" I retouched my lip gloss while speaking. I put my seatbelt on.
He looked worried. "Did you read the script?"
"It is the third time I read it. I like my character. Sometimes it happens that the secondary couple likes more than the main couple. Who knows, it might be my chance" I fixed my pillow, the trip had just started, and it was going to be long. "Who will be the main character?"
"I don't think I should tell you that. It's better for all of us if you keep it professional, and please don't scream when you meet them" Frederick took a deep breath like trying to recover his patience.
I turned, totally offended. "Are you calling me a stalker?"
"Indeed. That's what you are."
"I always keep my best behavior! Even with Selena Gomez I did. I acknowledge that I'm partially new here, but maybe someone will be as excited to work with me" It was my best try to defend myself. He just limited himself to sighing.
"You'll understand once the filming starts."
"Thank you for helping me make my dreams come true" I gave him my most adorable look.
I met Frederick when I was a rookie. He is a tall, big man, his hair is almost gray, and he is very handsome for someone of his age. Frederick was an actor once in his youth. He decided he liked to train new actors and use his contacts to help new talents. Frederick became my manager and is my second father. Yet, with his looks, instead of looking like my manager, he seems more like a bodyguard.
He looked at me over his shoulder and hissed trying to act careless. I know he is just uncomfortable with my words of affection. He wouldn't answer me the same way, no matter how touched he is.
When we arrived at TVN studios, I first noticed how crowded the place was. It looked like another drama was just ending in the same place we were meant to work.
I got to see Park Shin Hye from far, and I resisted running after her and ask her to take a picture with me.
"Welcome darling, so long no see" Coming my way was Lana Song, the drama writer. I knew her when we both worked on a movie she wrote. She was only a few years older than me, and we were the youngest in the set. Therefore, we naturally became friends.
"You are acting so fancy. It is almost like I have never seen you dancing like a stripper," I said, making fun of her.
"Here in Korea, we respect our elders. It would be best if you treated me as your boss" She moved her hair with superiority.
"You are older by two years."
"It's the same," she stuck out her tongue. "I love that you will be one of my characters. I made sure that everything was developed perfectly for your role. It means so much to me that you are playing it" she hugged me.
"It's a relief that I got the role" I smiled, and she offered to walk me through the studio.
Lana is Korean, but she grew up in the United States, the same place I met her. She is short and skinny, with dyed brown hair that she let grow until a little more down her shoulders. Lana is always dressed as if she is going to have an interview. Somehow, she could look elegant but casual at the same time.
"You seem very relaxed. I'm impressed," she said out of nowhere.
"Why?"
"I thought Lee Jong Suk was your ultimate favorite actor" Lana was talking at the same time she checked some papers she had just got.
I blinked multiple times with surprise.
"Yes, so? What does it have to do with me? Is he working in the set next to us? Can you introduce me?" I asked as fast as I could. I also started to look around me, trying to find my man.
Lana just laughed.
"Then you don't know."
"Know what?"
"Let's finish the tour."
[Author's comment:]
Hello everyone! It's my first time uploading in English. I decided to translate the story so more people could read it. The original version it's a y/n version but I feel more comfortable giving her a name. The original novel (in Spanish) it's available on Amazon to its physical purchase, it's a non-fanfic version.
The novel has short chapters so it's easier to read and more fun.
Welcome and thank you for reading, I hope you like it.
