Madison has had a hard day like usual. She had been picked on at school. She had a hard math test today which she thought she failed. Her parents hadn't even noticed her when she came home because they were too busy yelling at each other. Her parents always yelled at each other. She sometimes wished that they would just get a divorce so that she wouldn't have to hear them yell at each other anymore.

She took off her shoes and then she stomped up to her room and slammed the door. She took off her backpack and threw it onto the floor next to her bed. She sat on her bed and started crying. She was so sick of her life. She wished she could live in a fairytale because fairytales always ended in happy endings.

She hadn't realized that she had fallen asleep after all of the crying she did. She woke upon her bed. When she woke up, it was dark outside. She looked at the clock by her bedside and it read 1:03 am. She couldn't believe that she slept that long. It looked like she probably wouldn't be going to sleep that night, she was lucky that it was the weekend.

She got up off of her bed and sat on the floor and sighed.

"I believe! I believe! I believe!" She whispered.

She started crying again.

All of a sudden her window flew open and she felt a gust of wind blow her hair around.

"You believe?" A deep voice said.

Maddie jumped when she heard the voice because a voice was the last thing she expected. She looked to where the voice had come from, which was her window and she saw a shadow with glowing eyes. She wasn't scared though.

She looked at the shadow that was floating at her window with pleading eyes. Tears streamed down her face.

"Please take me away from here! Please!" She begged.

She really didn't care if the shadow was nice or not. She figured that anywhere was better than this place called home.

She wiped the tears from her cheeks and walked to the window.

"Take my hand," the shadow said.

She turned around and looked at her door, wondering if her parents had heard the two of them talking and then looked back at the shadow. Madison smiled and took the shadow's hand and the two of them flew off into the night.

Just flying scared her, but the shadow reassured her that she would be fine. Pretty soon they arrived in Neverland and the shadow let her down onto the land gently. She couldn't believe that she was here, in Neverland. A smile crept to her face and she couldn't wait for the adventures to start.
