"Are you sure you'll be okay on your own?" My mother insisted. I sighed, closing the trunk of her car. I looked at my mother; I inherited the dark purple-black hair she donned. A worried expression covered her features.

"She's twenty years old, Mizuki. She can take care of herself." My father spoke up. My dad's black hair was streaked with aged white and he looked at me with his gray eyes that shone with pride.

While my mother was short with dark eyes, my father was tall with gray eyes. While I inherited my mother's hair. I inherited my father's eyes. I was always told that I would turn into a wonderful young lady, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

Average height, five feet and four inches tall. My hair trailed down all the way to waist, my gray eyes always shining brightly. I wasn't skinny, but I had some lingering fat due to bad eating habits, but it was t excessive. I didn't find myself appealing, but I guess I caught the attention of some eyes back at home.

"Oh, Tadashi, she's growing up so fast." She said, getting teary-eyed. I sighed. My mother was always so emotional, and that's the bad part, because unfortunately, I inherited that too. I put the box I was holding on the floor and we bawled together.

After a while, our emotions settled and they said their farewells I watched them drive off and I turned to look at the building in front of me.

So this was Konoha University. I was going to live on campus and the town itself was an agreeable size, so a car wasn't a necessity. The unpolluted was so refreshing, I was already happy to be here.

I was tired of the big city life. High school was a horrible experience, I had my reputation ruined and everyone knew me as a whore. I didn't attend college shortly after graduating due to hitting a clinical depression that had me down for two years and scars on my wrists.

Now, I was ready for a new life, with new people and a clean slate. I was overjoyed when I received my acceptance letter from Konoha. My parents and I were a bit upset regarding the distance away from home, but we all knew it was for the better. It lets have a breather from my old life.

Second floor, room number 238. It was in the middle of the hallway, with a view into the town. I put my boxes down by the window and sighed contently. But the content went away when I noticed there was another bed in the room. I didn't sign up for this.

There was a knock on the door that startled me from my thoughts. I gulped. Please be someone nice, please be someone nice.

A girl with black hair down to her chest came in, some boxes covering her face. She stumbled and the top was about to topple over.

"O-Oh no!" A quiet voice came. I rushed to her and caught the top box before it hit the ground. She put the boxes down on the ground and she sighed happily once she saw me holding the other box.

"T-Thank you." she said softly. She had soft, strange white eyes. She was a bit taller than me and had a huge chest. I smiled at her.

"No problem." I said, putting the box I was holding on top of the others she set down. "Are you going to be my roommate?" I inquired. She nodded sheepishly.

"Y-Yes, my name is Hinata Hyuga." she responded, a slight blush resting on her cheek. She was so adorable, maybe I was lucky to get her as my roommate.

"I'm Rina Kabuki." I smiled, bowing slightly. "Please take care of me as my roommate and I hope we can become good friends." I straightened and offered her my hand. Her eyes brightened and she nodded.

"Yes!" She replied.

We began to unpack the things we brought along with us. While we did, we tried to have good conversation.
