There once was a man named Gîpėtõ, Gîpėtõ was lonely. He was so desperate for company, he would paint a new friend everyday. One day he decided to go into the forest and paint the land. Until he got sidetracked by a beautiful voice. Instead of dismissing the song, the only thought on his mind was "NEWW FRIEND". He ran closer to the voice, and there he saw a horrifying dark figure. It turned to him and spoke. "Who is this stranger that has fallen into my trap?" Panic crossed his mind as he realised the trees were watching him. He ran into the forest to gather his stuff and return to the village. The moment he stepped into the forest, things started to shift. He ran and ran and ran until he was out of breath, he took a knee to catch his breath. His mind was giving into the forest, it knew his deepest secrets, worst fears, his strengths and weaknesses. It was playing tricks on him. He was parched, his mouth was as dry as a desert. At that moment he would kill to have a drink. It was a recurring nightmare that he couldn't wake up from. Every step was more painful than the last, when he thought he had reached the most pain possible, just to step and feel a greater pain. Nobody could help him now. Gîpėtõ was exhausted from hours of being in the ever-changing terrain, he sat down on a rock and hung his head. "Gîpėtõ?' said a familiar voice 'Gîpėtõ you look thirsty, why not take a drink" Gîpėtõ looked up. It was a being that looked like his mum. "Mum?" He said, reached for the glass of water and looked inside, there was screaming coming from the water. It was the many people who had died in the forest before him, he knew that if he drank from the cup it meant death. But he didn't care, Until a tiny squirrel came towards the man out from the darkness, Gîpėtõ thought it was more of the forest's tricks "Leave me alone!" He would scream at the squirrel. "Stop! Don't drink it! I'm Pinícïœ" said the squirrel. The man dismissed the creature and placed his lips to the edge of the glass. Pinícïœ jumped up and hit the glass to the ground, shattering it. The being that gave him the glass turned into a shadow, and left. "Follow me and I'll lead you out!" The man hopelessly followed the squirrel. 10 minutes go by, then 20, 30, an hour maybe 2. Time was different in the forest. What could've been a day in the forest, could've only been 7 hours outside. Finally they reached a wall blocking them from escaping, it was a dome surrounding the forest. It had one weakness though, light. Since it was a shadowy mist, it could be repelled by light as a shadow would. Gîpėtõ got two rocks and a branch and somehow made fire. He lit the branch and held it, grasping it tightly, he threw it into the wall and it immediately gave. Pinícïœ and Gîpėtõ walked through the barrier. The sun shone warmly on his face. He was so relieved to finally be free.
