"I'm sorry," He whispered.
Y/N tried to catch her breath, barely processing what the panting boy next to her was apologizing for.
What could he be sorry for? Did she take it too far? Did she not do well? Was he upset at her? And most importantly, Y/N realized, did he mean what he said?
"God, I love you."
Five's murmur echoed in Y/N's mind as the rest of her swirling thoughts focused on the much larger one.
"I love you."
Five had said it. Why? They had only just met. And, more importantly, why did she say it back? The girl had only just met Five and already had admitted her conflicting feelings towards him, never mind sleeping with him. It wasn't right–what she had done. It was immature and deeply inappropriate.
But then, why did it feel so damn good?
The girl had cum twice under his touch in less than twenty minutes, yet her body still craved the boy, both sexually and emotionally. She wanted to hold him, touch him, kiss him, feel him, talk to him, cry with him, love with him. Is that what love was–the senseless urge to be with someone? She had no clue.
The newly non-virgin questioned her sanity, not quite understanding her emotions. She didn't want to lead on Five if she didn't even know if she loved him.
Trying to excuse her simply painful actualizations, the girl pushed away her thoughts and decided to worry about that later–she wanted to savor this moment.
Love at second sight, Y/N thought to herself, trying to manage her complex sentiments with a sense of humor.
Five obviously felt remorseful–about whatever it was–and Y/N didn't want to ruin their scarce time together–that is if he truly didn't want to see her again.
Stop it, Y/N told herself.
She needed to stop overthinking the situation. Whatever Five was feeling bad about was not to be worried about for he had done nothing wrong to her knowledge. Y/N thought she'd meant what she had said and immensely hoped Five did as well, if not she needed to hold onto this moment.
It'd only been a few seconds since Y/N was pondering her enormous burden of contradicting thoughts before they abruptly came to a halt after she acknowledged that Five was probably getting anxious regarding her verbal absence. If only he knew the constricting thoughts that plagued her mind.
"I'm not," The girl whispered, her voice horse as she replied to Five's apology in hopes of not worrying him more while not even recognizing what he was initially implying.
Five on the other hand had previously stayed dead silent in hopes of simply shrinking away into the sweaty blanket below the two. He'd regretted so much and was deeply frustrated at himself for bringing this girl into his life. Not just some girl, he reminded himself.
What would Y/N think? He'd just admitted to loving her. Fucking 'loving' her while fucking her. He'd only just met the girl. He'd admit to quickly and thoughtlessly going into sex before, but emotions never had a play with it–he'd promised himself that. Five had simply disregarded the girls who would have subsequently done the same and moved on to his next mission using his free time for well-deserved pleasure. He'd had no time to play those kinds of games. But this–this was not a game. She wasn't a game. She was now, if not more than ever, in danger, Five realized. With the Commission hot on both their tails, Five needed to protect her–it was simply a primal urge he'd never felt for anyone but his family.
