What If Inosuke Had Ice Breathing?

Chapter 1 [A Break]

A/N: In this AU, instead of Beast Breathing, Inosuke uses Ice Breathing derived from Water Breathing. He created it on his own, yes but how? Best to continue to read :DD

"Seventh form: Red Iced Rime "

With that, an ice fog surrounded the twin one-eyed demon brothers and after it cleared not even a minute later, the demons were left confused as it did nothing, or so they thought.

"That didn't even do anything, dipsh*t-I mean, Your Highness~"

"He calls himself the God of the Ice Mountain, he says. What an idiot!"

"I'm getting hungry. Let's finish him as soon as we can, Brother~"

As the demon brothers were about to make a move, somehow they couldn't. They tried to move their legs, hands, everything at full strength but none would budge.

"Why can't I f*cking move?"

They felt their barefooted feet stiffen and harden and as they looked down, ice shaped liked crystals and shards slowly climbed up their feet. Unknowingly, spiky shards also formed internally and pierced through the twin one-eyed demons' horrid skins, making the ice redden from their filthy blood. The twin demons looked at each other in shock and anger, gritting in pain as they bled. How could it be possible?

"How is this possible?! We're lowermoons, we couldn't been have defeated so easily!"

"Brother, do something!!!"(Reminds me of Daki, lol.)

Poor demons, delusional to think they were part of the 12 Kizukis. Looks like whoever-that-Michael-Jackson-lord-of-the-demons-man Gonpachiro told me about, successfully was able to fool them. They didn't even have any numbers written on their eye. What a bunch of losers! After the ice successfully took over their whole bodies, leaving the head, the Ice Lord leaped high and sliced their heads simultaneously without even letting them say their last words and then landed with ease and grace. Looking like a main character finishing a main battle, Inosuke put his swords at his back as the ashes burned and the mist that came from the ice hugging the demons before, dissipated behind him.

"You should think twice before underestimating the Lord of the Ice Mountains, Hashibira Inosuke!", he dramatically said. He exited the scene as he now finally finished his mission. Inosuke then ran goofily through the dimmed forest and proceeded to praise himself endlessly on the way to the Butterfly Mansion. He can't wait for Monjiro, Nekuzo, and Monitsu to finish their missions as he can't wait to tell them of his flamboyant fight, which he has no choice but to sit and wait until the next morning.

It was another day, another demon mission successfully slayed by yours truly, he, himself, the God of the Ice Mountains, Lord Inosuke.

After two whole weeks of healing and rehabilitation training, they were now all back in shape, ready to fight another demon.

"How about you guys go somewhere tomorrow for the day before going on another mission?"

The trio didn't mouth a response after the Butterfly Mansion's Master and Head Medic, Kocho Shinobu's question, that was more like an offer. They just stood in Shinobu's office like a bunch of stiff trees with their eyes widened. The trio didn't give an answer not because they didn't want it but because they just have never thought about it before.

"It's not good to always cloud up your mind with demons and fighting, y'know. After all, you three, including Nezuko, are just teenagers, children. Teenagers should live and enjoy their youth, aren't I right?"

Shinobu smiled as she saw the three perked up, their eyes shining in excitement and joy. Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke hid their joy and their sudden excitement of the mentioned break as it was their duty as demon slayers to continuously fight and get rid of Kibutsuji Muzan to achieve peace but you just couldn't fool Shinobu. Aoi, who was peeking after she unintentionally overheard their conversation and was filled with curiosity, internally laughed at the sight of the Kamaboko trio hiding their happy and excited faces although it was so obvious. Finally looking away, Aoi set her hands behind her and leaned at the wall, pouting in envy. How she wished she could go, will Kami hear her wishes? Well although she wanted to go somewhere too, she could never. Aoi always hesitated on accepting vacation and long break offers given by Shinobu out of guilt as she felt it was already too much as Shinobu already let her stay with her with the other girls in the Butterfly Mansion. She was fortunate she had a roof over her head and had food to eat. That was enough for Aoi. She then went back to eavesdropping.

"There's a festival going on in a market place recently built in the neighboring city. Its popular for youngsters your age, I heard. You should go there tomorrow! I suggest you rent yukatas and kimonos to wear first before boarding the train to go there to save more time~"

The trio looked at each other and slowly, finally gave in. They just couldn't resist.

"Is it really okay for us to go somewhere, Shinobu-san?", Tanjiro asked. "For the second time, yes, Tanjiro-kun. It was after all Oyakata-sama's order to me to give the demon slayers a break once in a while!" The three jumped in cheer and joy, Nezuko also joined cheering along with them. "Here.", Shinobu said as she handed an envelope to Tanjiro. Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke sticked to Tanjiro, curious on what's inside the envelope. As Tanjiro opened it, a yellow light shined, blinding their eyes. They have never seen this much money before! Now you know that the hashiras are definitely loaded as hell. (I surely am in need of a sugar mommy or daddy right now HEHE)

"Ara, you should go with them too, Aoi!~", Shinobu said with a bright smile with her hands clasped, looking at the only and opened window in her office. Aoi jumped in shock. The four then perked up to look at the same direction Shinobu was looking. There, Aoi fully revealed herself at the opened window in Shinobu's office. A Hashira's keen sense is just in another level. Aoi blushed in embarrassment and apologized for eavesdropping.

"For eavesdropping on people's business, you will receive a punishment." Shinobu said in a stern voice. Aoi stood beside the Kamaboko Trio shivering in fear as the trio too shivered in fear along with her after hearing Shinobu's scary voice.

"Aoi, you will go with Tanjiro and the others during their travel to the new market in the next-door city tomorrow. No buts. That's an order." Aoi and the others were left confused while Shinobu just laughed and smiled at the confused faces they were making. Aoi being Aoi, hesitated on accepting but Shinobu cut her off as she was not having it.

"Aoi, you should enjoy your youth once in a while too. And whenever I do give you or offer you something, please don't hesitate to accept it. You're always a big help here in the mansion and you never even take long breaks. I, both a doctor and your sister, just can't help but worry about you. So, go with them. I can handle everything here. " Aoi's lips pursed and she teared up afterwards at Shinobu's words. Shinobu then hugged Aoi, like a mama bird hugging her child with her wings, and wiped her tears. The Kamaboko Squad who witnessed the scene also teared up at the wholesome moment in front of them (Inosuke will never agree the fact he was crying btw).

Looks like Aoi's desperate and hidden wish was granted. Aoi, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke then slept excitedly soon after the moon risen and shined bright that night as they couldn't wait for tomorrow. It's going to be a day full of enjoyment and laughter for sure!
