The sun already went down and it was exactly 4:58 pm. The Kamaboko trio were all dressed in neat yukatas with different patterns. They were waiting for Aoi and Nezuko who still hadn't came out. Inosuke who was scratching himself all over while at the same time, yelling why Pigtails and Bamboo Girl were being turtles.
"Don't worry, Inosuke. I'm pretty sure Aoi-san and Nezuko will come out any second now. So let's be patient.", Tanjiro reassuringly said to the impatient boar as while stopping him from stripping naked. Meanwhile, Zenitsu was holding a small bouquet of dandelions, a jar of confetti and in his pocket was a small box who was later yeeted by Tanjiro.
"Is my Nezuko out yet?! She's taking so long!", Zenitsu worriedly exclaims. "She's probably taking so long because she wants to impress me! She'll be like,"I need to look good for Zenitsu-san so I must dress up neatly and beautifully~~"", Zenitsu daydreams. "Oh, Nezuko-chan, you'll always look beautiful no matter what~~", Zenitsu swoons. As Zenitsu continues simping, dancing while imaginary flowers surround him, Tanjiro and Inosuke stood there behind him. They were fully listening to Zenitsu's conversation with himself which made them shoot Zenitsu a disgusted and creeped out look which Zenitsu didn't notice.
A whole ten minutes later, the entrance sliding door of the Butterfly Mansion opened which caught the trio's attention. There, Aoi and Nezuko came out looking different than usual. The trio was silent for a moment. Aoi was wearing a royal blue kimono with leaves and pale pink flowers, her hair fully let down with a small butterfly clip attached. The Kamaboko trio gasped in awe of Aoi's beauty especially Inosuke. Who knew Aoi would look even more beautifully with her hair down and in a kimono? "Wha-What? Do I look that weird-?", Aoi looks down while grasping her other arm. Zenitsu drooled and blushed profusely, screaming at the top of his lungs and ran towards Aoi, who took a step back, scared. Tanjiro was about to stop Zenitsu but Inosuke swiftly stopped him instead, punching him in the gut. Tanjiro sighed in relief and asked Aoi if she was okay and she nodded. "Zenitsu, you shouldn't act like that to other girls. Its rude and creepy! Apologize to Aoi-san right now!", Tanjiro scolds Zenitsu. Zenitsu who was curling up on the ground, crying in pain, slowly got up and said, "I'm sorry, A-Aoi-san. You're really beautiful with your hair down and in a kimono, that's all." "I agree!", Tanjiro added as he smiled. Aoi blushed and shyly thanked them. "Tch. Pigtails doesn't even look that great compared to me, the Great Inosuke!", Inosuke mumbled, crossing his arms as he closed his eyes and looked away. Aoi just angrily looked away. She thought he was going to- Nevermind, it's not as if she was expecting a compliment from him. Inosuke slowly opened his eyes and peaked at Aoi. As he did, the whole world seemed to be in slow motion and a blur, well all except Aoi. She was the only thing he could see. Her beautiful luscious, black hair that was let down instead of the usual tied up pigtails, her slightly pink cheeks and plump lips, her laughing and smiling face, before Inosuke knew, dandelions appeared right above him. "I guess, she looks okay. . .", Inosuke murmurs to himself, not realizing a blush visibly appearing on his cheeks, his form softening.
(When Nezuko came out in a pink, different patterned kimono and her hair in a high ponytail, the Zenitsu and Tanjiro's reaction was the exact same thing that happened in the last paragraph :>> Zenitsu was screaming and simping nonstop. I'm just lazy and it's too much work if I write it fully TvT)
Now everyone was all heading their merry way to reach the train. Inosuke ran swiftly as he carried clueless Nezuko on his shoulders while Zenitsu was angrily chasing them, yelling to put down Nezuko (and let her ride on his back instead.) Following behind the chaotic duo, Aoi massaged her temples and Tanjiro face palmed at them as if they were the parents and the three were their children. "They are really like children-", both said simultaneously. They both turned to each other at the same time and just giggled. One moment they were laughing, now you can hear grasshoppers chirping in the background. It sure was and hella silent. It was nerve-wrecking for Aoi and Tanjiro, more nerve-wrecking than a battle with a demon at this moment. Both were taking turns on starting a conversation but only the word "Ah-" would come out everytime. Tanjiro coughed and eventually started to converse with Aoi about what they wanna do when they reach to the festival and other stuff, while laughing together.
"It sure is nice to go somewhere unfamiliar sometimes. . .", Aoi said as she closes her eyes and taking a breathe to the cold but fresh air. "There's only a limit to places I've been and I've never went out with other people too. It was always Shinobu-sama or Kanao, not that I don't like it, it just feels nice." Aoi continued as she softly smiled to Tanjiro, who was already smiling at her. "Then, Aoi-san, you can absolutely count on us that will take you everywhere! That's a promise!" Tanjiro says as determination sparked in his eyes and as he gently touched Aoi's shoulder. "I'LL TAKE YOU EVERYWHERE ON MY BACK!" Aoi was then overwhelmed to suddenly see Inosuke come up close to her face as he says those words with a loud, booming voice and a maniac laugh. Aoi then blushed and pushed him away as she told him how ridiculous it would be to travel riding on his back. Inosuke then huffed angrily and grabbed Pigtails and put her on his back, laughing as he goes and Aoi angrily demanding to put her down which Inosuke didn't obliged and continued to carry her on the way to the train station.
"NEZUKO-CHANNNN~~ Do you want to ride on my back on the way to the train station as well?~", Zenitsu says with a dumb, simping face as he circles around Nezuko who had a dumbfounded expression on her face. As Zenitsu was about to grab Nezuko, a strong grip then crushingly grabbed Zenitsu's shoulder from behind and there Zenitsu sworn there was a scary big monster breahing down behind him. "Step away from Nezuko, Zenitsu or I swear.", Tanjiro softly says to Zenitsu from behind as a scary grin formed on his face. Zenitsu shivered from the cold, scary air behind him and chickened out because he definitely knows not to mess with Tanjiro a.k.a. his future brother-in-law. (Another reason Zenitsu won't mess with Tanjiro is because he wants to earn browny points so Tanjiro will eventually accept his and Nezuko's marriage somewhere in the future. LOL) "W-WA-WAIT FOR ME, INOSUKEEE, AOI-SANNNNNN!", Zenitsu shouts in fear as he wobbly ran to Inosuke and Aoi. "Let's go, Nezuko?", Tanjiro smiles to Nezuko as he offered his hand to her which Nezuko happily grabbed his hand. There, they were finally on their way to the neighboring city.
