"She's a Hunter! Get her!" The bartender roared and the men all piled in, lunging at me. I flung myself off the bed and under before they could touch me, grabbing my shoes and putting them on. The air suddenly rippled around me and I was flung to the corner of the room, crashing into a bookshelf. I hissed at the pain but refused to stay down as they all came at me. One of them threw punches at me, however I dodged on the spot and kicked my feet up, slamming my heel up his chin. His head flew back and he howled, crashing against the wall with his head hitting the upper shelves. I threw myself at him, throwing more punches. I continued kicking and lashing out, another one grabbed my ankle and dragged me across the floor. I lashed out and jumped back on my feet, hurtling a blow on his head. I kicked his leg once more, stomped on his knee and cracked an elbow into his jaw. He went down and another man from behind threw himself at me.
I easily dodged, laughing as he continued to swing his arms clumsily at me. These were not highly trained X vampires at all. I clicked my fingers and summoned a ball of golden light, streaming out of my hand in the direction of the attacker. He screamed out as his skin sizzled and scorched, smoke rising from his body as he fell lifeless on the floor. I laughed so hard as another one stumbled back, witnessing what had just been done.
"If I were you, I would run." I summoned another golden flame in my hand, ready to attack. The man suddenly began grinning with triumph, which irritated me immensely. I growled in annoyance and was about to attack when I was suddenly hit and thrown on the floor from behind. A foot slammed into my side like a truck, making me howl in pain. My hair was pulled fiercely and I was elbowed on the back constantly. I screeched in anger and tried to haul myself up, twisting my body round to free myself from their grip, but they were too fast.
My body lay on the ground limp, breathing hard. Beads of sweat trailing down my face and my body aching. I felt my mind clouding and my vision blurring. I felt my strength draining from me rapidly.
"Finally got the little Bitch" It was the bartender's voice. Another set of laughs rung in my ears. I felt myself being tugged up and dragged. I felt my vision slightly clearing as I cracked open an eye. The bartender's eyes were widened with insanity, his jaw expanding and his fangs out in full view. He looked crazy, insane.
He gripped my neck, pressing and squeezing my windpipe. I growled and attempted to kick up at him but only welcomed a blow in the stomach. I struggled under his grip, desperately trying to remove his hand from my neck. Three pairs of strong arms held my arms and legs down. He laughed crazily, his tongue rolling out and his head tilting sideways, saliva drooling out his horrifically huge mouth. He looked like a crazed monster.
"This wont hurt a bit." He laughed hysterically, his fangs enlarging even more until it looked like they would fall out. I squeezed my eyes shut and heaved in all the breath I could muster.
"ATTACK!"
The walls and the window blew open, dirt, glass and smoke flew everywhere. For a moment no one could see anything as the smoke blinded our view of anything. The hand was suddenly lifted from my throat and I gulped in huge amounts of air like water. Coughing and spluttering I heaved myself up from the floor, holding my head as I waited for the dizziness to clear. A hand was suddenly put in front of me and I looked up to see widened ice blue orbs looking down at me. I grabbed his hand and was pulled up. I cried out as my I felt my side crack. Gritting my teeth, I looked up at Noel, his hand gently held my side.
"We need to get you to a hospital." I shook my head and slowly straightened myself.
"No. Stick to the mission, we need to get rid of them." He was about to protest till I waved a hand and dipped into the thick smoke, feeling my way through it. The smell of leather, blood and metal made me want to gag and the slashes of swords and gun fires rang in my ears. Using my instincts I got myself towards the corner of the room, planting my back against the cold wall. I coughed out the smoke and began to heal myself.
