The Amethyst Clan has roots from the old age, a long line of exorcists that are responsible for destroying demons from the mortal realm. They are one of the original 9 clans that are responsible for protecting the mortal realm.
The Amethysts were born from the union of a strong demoness and a strong exorcist falling in love. Their offspring inheriting the bloodline of a Class X demon as well as some new abilities. Because the demoness was a mimic type, the amethyst clans abilities depends on what demon they take after. Some can shapeshift, some can run faster than a bullet, every Amethyst is different. They are considered to be the most well rounded and universal of the clans due to their bloodline, despite being hated for their bloodline.
Nowadays they work with the current Bureau of Exorcists along with the other clans. They are sent out the most often, and thus the technical faces of the exorcists.
