The pair were about three-fourths into the second episode of On My Block when Leda excused herself to go to the bathroom. Although she told him he could keep watching, Jere chose not to. Yeah, he was liking the show so far, but he preferred watching it with Leda. Not only was she helpful in translating Spanish phrases, but Jere also liked hearing her laugh. She had a cute laugh and he didn't want to keep watching and miss out on the jokes she might laugh at.

Instead, Jere decided to just mindlessly scroll through Instagram while he waited for Leda. Not long after, both Steven and Conrad joined him on the couch, leaving no room for Leda, though Jere didn't mind this much. It was almost time for the pair to leave anyway.

All three boys were bored to the brim, having nothing else to do in this boring-ass party. Conrad huffed and said out loud what was on all their minds: "Yo, this shit is so boring. Can we go somewhere?"

Jeremiah chuckled softly, agreeing with his brother on the boring part. The going-somewhere part, however? He reminded his brother "Dude, I told you I've got a date after this. But if you guys wanna go somewhere, then go ahead."

"Yeah? Where?" Steven asked, not taking his eyes off his phone.

Jere then suggested the other two guys should go into town and buy some weed from the dealer with the Rainbow Dash tattoo, but Conrad shot him down, saying the guy got arrested last summer.

As soon as he heard that, Jere threw his head back to the couch cushion and groaned "Oh, shit. Really?"

"Yeah."

Promptly getting over his mini disappointment, Jeremiah sat back up again. Looking ahead now, he made a quick glance towards the bathroom area to see if Leda had gone out yet, but she hadn't. She'd been gone for, like, seven minutes now. What was taking her so long?

Having no sign of her still, Jere continued to scroll through his phone.

Then Steven made an off-handed suggestion: "We could go to the drive-in..."

Jere thought he had to be joking. He made a face before pointing out the obvious. "Dude, gross. Like you two wanna watch Belly hook up with some kid in the backseat of a minivan."

Steven might've chuckled at what Jere said, but he had to agree with his friend on that. It would be weird seeing his little sister on a date, and even more so seeing her kissing and getting touchy with her date.

Alas, that was the end of that suggestion.

Or so Steven and Jeremiah thought.

A moment later, Conrad leisurely turned to Steven, his face looking like he had been enlightened with the most amazing idea ever. In an earnest tone, he told their friend "Yo, actually... let's go to the drive-in."
