"Good morning everyone! I'm Hayari Saitou on JFL, And we're pleased to inform you that we have news on the teens that survived an underground killing game. More at 5-"

*Click*

I turned off the TV and stood up.

"I'm not interested in learning about it in 6 hours. I'm interested in it now." I said, Yawning.

I got up and grabbed my notebook. I skimmed through the pages.

'Extraordinary minds Killing game... That's what the survivors called it.' i thought to myself, as i looked at the page explaining the first one.

The killing game took place in an underground facility. The students all consisted of teenagers, From ages 14-18. They were given motives until one of them broke, and killed a classmate. There were 16.

I skimmed through the list of participant names. Looking over the survivors.

"Akira Odashi, Lilith Sugawara... Riku Sato, Kentaro Fukuda..."

They all were under interesting titles. Ultimates.

It was run by a childhood toy, who'd been under malicious programming and turned into an hyper aware AI bloodthirsty robot.

I turn the page.

'chemical killing games.'

The students were of the ages 15-17. It was run by An Animatronic fox, Called "Shockbolt.". It'd use electricity, of course, To tame the teens. Again, 16.

These students were under the same title. "Ultimates."

I skimmed through the page once more.

"Masane Kioyoko, Yumico Umetani..."

'I'm shocked a blind girl survived.'

These students went through the same, motives, and same situation. Except, this was more of a torment. After every 'trial' they got to see their families. The dead studentd were then dumped out in front of said familys... It's cruel.

I skimmed the pages once more, and turned it.

'Butterflies of hope killing games.'
The premise is similar. Except, instead of 16, these games always had over 20 students. The games are always ran by a animatronic cat called 'monocat'. Each game is somewhat similar.. with the exception of the second and third having participants over age 20.

"Kage Arashi, Tailor Arashi, Nakano Mizuki, Devuen Watusone..."

Every branch of murderous games is similar... One being that They're all ran by robots, and the so called "Mastermind" s almost always hidden among the students.

I closed the book for now.

"It's still morning, so I should-"

*Ding dong*

"What in hells name? I'm not expecting anyone." I said, taken aback by the sudden doorbell chime. I go over to the door and look out the peephole.
"Huh... No trace of a person."

I open the door and look down. On the mat was an envelope, with my name on it...

"This could be dangerous..."

'I don't care.'

I picked up the letter and brought it inside. There's still more time in the day, so I won't open it... For now. Maybe at around 6.

I looked at the envelope.

No address.. and no name from the sender. Just...

"For Mr. O'neil."

Was this brought by hand?

...

'I'll put it in the drawer for now, and open it later. I can't deal with that right now.'

I put the strange envelope in the drawer, And went to the kitchen. I grabbed a granola bar, and fed my cat Raiden.

A few hours of doing nothing passed. It was now 4 PM. I went to the Drawer and grabbed the envelope.

"Okay if this says something like "i see you" then I'm gonna be upset."

I opened the envelope.

"Hello and good day, Mr. O'neil. This is an invitation for you to be apart of a little... Experiment, per sé. I've done my fair share of research on your work, And it truly is quite remarkable how dedicated you are to your job. So please i do hope you'll consider joining my 'game', experiment, offering even.
