Before you dive in, there are a few things to note, so please take a moment to read through these details...

First: This story will diverge from canon. It follows the original Demon Slayer narrative up to a certain point, but with a twist. Various elements—characters, events, dialogue, and even relationships—will be altered, added, or removed to fit this story's direction better. So expect some changes throughout the entire way! This is not an Isekai! You, the reader, also known as the main character (MC) or (Y/n), are a real part of this world, not someone who was transported into it. The MC's physical appearance is purposefully left vague. There will be no descriptions of race/ethnicity, skin tone, eye or hair color, height, weight, or other defining physical traits. This is to allow you to fully project yourself into the story in whatever way feels most natural and immersive. The only exceptions may be occasional references to hair length (long enough to braid or put up into a bun), clothing, or age (which is noted separately below). That said, Y/n does have her own personality with flaws, insecurities, strengths, values, thoughts, feelings, etc. She may not resonate with everyone, but I hope that as the story unfolds, you'll come to understand her and connect with her in some way!

Second: Italicized text (or dialogue) represents Japanese, while plain text (or dialogue) is in English. Please note that while I do my best to remain respectful and accurate in my research, I'm not an expert in the Japanese language or culture. Some translations or cultural references might not be perfect, and I appreciate your understanding!

Third: There is no fixed update schedule. Writing takes time, especially since I work full-time, but I try to post updates as soon as I can. Your patience, encouragement, and support genuinely mean the world to me. Occasionally, I'll share sneak peeks or brief updates, but please note that these are temporary and will be removed once the next chapter is ready to be published to maintain immersion and narrative flow. No random filler pages here—just story.

(Side Note: I've grown a lot since I started writing this story, and I've tried to go back and revise older chapters when I can. However, some parts may still contain errors, inconsistencies, or repetitive writing.​​​​​​​ For now, I am focused on continuing the story. Once it's complete, I'll go back and polish everything to make sure everything flows more smoothly/cohesively. Lastly: I plan to have multiple endings (happy and angsty ones). You'll get to choose your preferred ending, with select characters available as romantic interests! While I strive to make the story as inclusive as possible, there are some characters I don't connect with or struggle with writing in a way that feels true to their personalities. Therefore, not every character will be part of the romance route or even featured in the story. Also, romance will be limited to male characters (and only certain ones), as I find writing and developing relationships with them easier. There are a lot of characters, and I want to ensure that each relationship is meaningful and well-developed, which can be challenging with so many involved.
