Sleep

Some people say that sleep is for the weak,
I say it's for those who've been awake for too long,
See I find holding on despite your loose grip,
Makes you weaken until everything you is gone

Having thick walls of ice won't do you any good,
For a little heat will lead to your flood,
You're much better off with thin walls of glass,
To show off the fire that burns in your blood

So when your arms start to ache from the world's heavy weight and your sweat starts to mix with your tears,
Please sit and listen to me closely,
As I say what it's high time you hear

Holding on for too long does not make you strong it means you're afraid to let go,
But what being brave means is to do in spite,
Of fear of what lies down below

And if you worry laying down to sleep is the same as you giving up,
Allow me to refresh your memory and say,
You have to touch the ground in order to jump

So the next time you notice your eyes start to droop and your head beginning to hang,
Don't force your head to hold up high,
Be brave and let it stay

Instead of saying you'll sleep when you're dead,
Gently lower yourself to the ground,
Find comfort in not being okay right now,
And be the lost before the found

I promise you'll wake up sooner or later,
Until then please don't stress,
Just know that you deserve a break,
To close your eyes and rest
