Three years ago In the ever symbolical place where promises were made, sins were confessed and prayers were heard she sat hidden away from the bride and groom who was commencing a union. Reeling in the tears that were threatening to fall, she calmed herself to sit through the their promising vows. It was hard but she kept the pain from showing on her face. No one needed to know that bride had been changed, that she was former bride, the best friend of the bride and the ex-fiance of the groom.
The betrayal hurt but it wasn't like it was the first time she had experience one. Life had never been easy for her, dealing with the pain wasnt new to her, yet it happened again and for the second time she had to be the one letting go.
"With the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Turning to Jace,"You may kiss the bride." The priest declared. Her heart shatter what was the remaining left of it as the priest words struck her hard.
It was really happening, they were officially husband and wife. A slick drop of tear escapes as Jace moves to lift the veil over Casey's head. Just as he leans in towards her lips Angelee stood up and rush quietly through the exit. Her hair bellow along with wind flying behind her back as she jets towards the pier. Tears of a broken heart and sorrow stream down her face.
Again she was alone, again loneliness came back to haunt her and succeeded in finding her. How many times did she have to endure before someone to truly belong to her. The scratching pain against her chest felt like her skin was being rip open.
Once she reached the end of the pier a full blown sob exited and she let her legs gave in falling onto the cold wooden pier. She cried for the lost of her best friend the only one she had. She cried for a lost love that wasn't hers to keep anymore. She cried for herself, for what life keeps throwing at her after all that she's gone through. Curve balls just keeps whirling her away one after, never giving her a moment to breathe. The accidental event that changed their lives forever, how she wished she'd never heard upon it. But what good what it do, the result of the mistake would still be the same. More ever she hated being lied to. Being played a fool hurts more than it sound.
"I'm pregnant Jace." Kaysees voice shook, her face marred with fear and seriousness. He whipped his head to look at her eyes wide with shock. Jace didn't think that the urgent matter Casey is Angelee's best friend wanted to talk about was that horrible night that happened between them the two of the 3 weeks ago.
It was the worst thing that was never meant to happen. All the guilt, sorrow and sorriness he felt towards Angelee could never relieve the pain she felt through their actions. Never did she thought her surprise visit to his flat would end up like this.
"This should never had happened." She whispers at the verge of crying, "It's killing me inside."
"If there's anything she hates, it's infidelity." He says shaking his head, "She's gone through so much and I- I just have to screw up did I ?" Jace's hands came up to cover his face, his shoulders hunching over. "I don't even remember what happened that night. I had hope so much that nothing happened between us that night, it can't happen, it just can't not when there's so much at risk.
"We can't do this to Angie. It's not fair to her. You guys were so close to the end, I can't-I can't. Angie don't deserve this, oh god what kind of friend am I? " Casey blink back the tears, the tremble in her voice didn't go unnoticed as she paced back in forth. "I'm going to get an abortion."
