Chapter 16: Arrival

The day of the girls' arrival had finally come. Tae and Jimin eagerly waited in the van while their driver was already waiting for them at the airport. Although the boys couldn't enter the airport itself when they arrived, they were thrilled to be the first to greet them. They would then drive them to Koi's new apartment.

Jimin nervously rubbed his hands, eagerly peering out of his blacked-out window. Finally, he spotted the girls walking towards their van with their suitcases. He quickly moved to the back seat, both to give them space to enter and to ensure that no one would see him.

The sliding door of the van finally opened, and Amy jumped in first.

"Baby bear!" she screamed as soon as she saw Tae in the back. She lunged at him with full force, almost knocking Jimin out of his seat. Jimin could already hear the smacking of the couple's lips in the back as he eagerly awaited Sophie entering the van.

Although Sophie looked worn out and tired, she was still dazzling to him. She was wearing comfortable black sportswear, and her hair was tied up in a messy bun, a look Jimin found irresistibly sexy on her. Jimin could barely remain quiet and still as she climbed into the van. As soon as the door closed behind her, Jimin pulled her into a hug, making her fall into his arms.

"I missed you so much!" he said, giving her quick kisses all over the face and neck.

"Jimin, it's ticklish!" she laughed, gently pushing him back to his seat so he could buckle up. Jimin playfully grumbled at the sudden distance but quickly scooted closer, intertwining his hand with hers. He gave her one more sweet peck and placed his head in the nook of her neck.

"I missed you too," she said.

Jimin could barely contain his happiness. He was overjoyed that Sophie was finally next to him as his girlfriend, and this time, there was no looming anticipated departure date. However, the realization struck him that he would need to let her go in less than half an hour when they arrived at Koi's apartment. Jimin frowned at the idea.

"Jimin, why the frown?" Sophie asked him. "I thought you were happy to see me."

"In less than half an hour, you'll be leaving me again," he pouted.

"You are too precious," she said, smiling at him. She quickly stole a glance at his lips. His pout made his lips look extra enticing. "There will be lots of time to see each other," she said, touched his jaw with her hand, which send a shiver down his whole body. "Today, I have to settle in, unpack, and rest. I also need to take a shower. I probably smell terrible after that long trip."

"You smell just fine," Jimin quickly objected. "You could come over to our place and take a shower; you could use the private one in our room. I can let you sleep in our room, and we can cuddle. I can be very quiet, I promise I won't disturb you. Jin could cook for you if you are hungry, or we could just watch movies," he blurted out all options he could think of in a hurry.

Sophie laughed at his eagerness. He was just too cute to handle sometimes. Seeing him like this, pouring his heart out to her, was the most heartwarming thing, and she loved every second of it.

"Jimin, you will have to wait," she insisted. I don't want to end up snoring in your bed when we are just starting to date. Let's save the ugly scenes for a later time, ok?"

"No, you could never be ugly. I absolutely reject that idea," Jimin said shaking his head, still pouting.

Sophie leaned in to connect her lips with his. Jimin followed her lead and gently took up the kiss, moving his lips with hers and caressing them. Conscious of being in a van with others around, Sophie pulled away soon after making contact, making Jimin growl in dissatisfaction. She gave him one last quick soft peck on his plump lips and placed her head on his shoulder. He leaned towards her, taking in her closeness as much as he could. They continued to ride in silence right next to each other, both relaxed yet exhausted from the build-up of anticipation of this meeting.
