"

"Na-Naruto... " a woman wavering voice called out.

'Hinata?'
Naruto thought as he heard Hinata faintly call him.

"Tou-chan! Dad!" Three familiar voices shouted.

'Boruto...Himawari... Kawaki... Calm down'

"Nanadaime-sama! Hokage-sama!!"

'What?'

"Naruto!"

'What is it!? They just keep calling I'm trying to take a rest peacefully here 'ttebayo...'

'Kit... Just... Just open your eyes for a bit'
Naruto heard Kurama call out to him.

'Hm... Sure?'

Naruto complied and tried to open his eyes as his senses slowly returned.
Their cries rang through his ears.

Naruto saw himself impaled with a rod and covered with his own blood. He then remembered what was happening and he saw Hinata in front of him.

'Ah... '

Naruto recalled he saw his kids trying to replenish their chakra and recover their strength when the enemy fired his final attack deliberately directing it to them.

'What the-'

Naruto saw how fast the attack was and knew they wouldn't be able to dodge it in time.
He was rushing to where his children were and he saw his wife, Hinata jumped in front of them to block the attack.

In a split second everything went black.

Naruto was able to block the attack by receiving it by resorting to using his body.
He had run out of chakra now that he saw that he was able to block it he felt relief that he was able to squeeze a chakra even if it was just a bit.

Naruto still felt hurt to see what state Hinata was in, even though he had most of the rod impaling him he only slowed down the attack.

Naruto suddenly felt an urged to cough and tried to move his hands to cover his mouth only to see blood in his hands.

"T-tou-chan...? " Boruto was wide-eyed at what was unfolding before his eyes.

Naruto heard his son, Boruto called out to him in a wavering voice.

Boruto, Himawari, and Kawaki were still comprehending what was happening.
It was just a moment ago when they saw the enemy was finally defeated but then an incoming attack was seconds away from them.

"M-Mom... D-Dad... "
Tears were dripping from Himawari's face.

"D-don't worry Hima... " Hinata said with a smile trying to reassure her children.

"....." Kawaki wasn't able to say anything but everything that he felt was showing on his face.
Horrified, Rage, Sadness, and all the negative emotion were mixing inside Kawaki and Naruto felt it.

"Calm down... You three" Naruto said with a smile as he pats them on the head.

"How can we calm down when-" Boruto yelled but he suddenly stopped by Naruto.
