Finally, you were free.

You had your window down as the air from outside slapped you across your face, you admired the beautiful scenery presented before you, and as you passed by the woods, the trees loomed over you creating a shadow as they blocked you from the warmth and light of the sunset. A smile rested on your face, taking in a deep breath of fresh air, given to you by the nature that surrounded you. However, despite the calm atmosphere, you had the radio turned up all the way whilst it blasted music cutting off the tweeting coming from the birds, feeling it go through your body, generating shivers.

It was liberating.

You were suddenly approaching the end of the hill that you were driving up and right there, at the peak you could see it.

Your new home.

You gripped at the steering wheel tighter, staring at the small town with awe. As you saw it was a very small town around 500+ people situated there, so you saw on the internet. The town had quite a lot of land surprisingly, but most of it was taken by nature, which was really beautiful. The idea of living in a small community and bonding with the residents here brought a smile to your face, while watching some people wondering the streets, by themselves, with friends or family, it looked so peaceful.

Pushing on the gas you went down the hill, getting closer to the place you will soon call home.

You had muted the speaker at this point as you have entered the first road into town, not wanting to be causing so much noise pollution. Nervous you looked out the window every chance you got to take a look at whatever could distract you. You were surrounded by various buildings ranging in shapes, sizes and colour giving a bit of personality to each of the homes. Turning off the sound also helped you acknowledge the little noise this town offered, there were few cars, and if there were sounds, it just came from people laughing and having fun with each other.

You started approaching a familiar building, a one story house. The outside was coated in a juniper green which complimented the wood-life amazingly, and the door was a simple shade of white. There was a decent amount of land for the front porch which already had some greenery to it, such as bushes and a few daisies. Just like how you saw on the advertisement, unfortunately you couldn't have come any sooner to take a look at it before you moved in, so this is the first time your seeing your new house, and you loved it.

You parked in front of it, unbuckling your seatbelt as fast as you could and you whipped the door open, taking a step out the car to get closer to the building. Admiring it. Small steps at a time, taking awhile to look at the exterior and its little flaws.

Feeling your pockets, you pulled out a key that your landlord had mailed to you awhile ago. Getting this home was quite difficult, but it seemed the landlord had taken a liking to you and offered quite a reasonable price for it, so as soon as you could, you signed the lease for the house, contracted for one year. The landlord said he could extend the lease if you really wanted, after it expires, but one year was enough for you.

Just one year.

Reaching the door, you put in your key and twisted it, hearing the familiar clicking sound. Taking a deep breath you pulled down the door handle, and slowly pushed the door taking a peek inside.

The walls were painted with quite neutral colours excluding the small splashes of green that acted as accents for the home. Stepping inside, you took off your shoes and closed the door behind you, making sure to enter every room. First was the living room, it appeared it already had some furniture. A brown sofa which was placed near the wall that had a decently sized window that showed the front garden, with a coffee table right in front. There was also a fire place directly in view with the sofa which is where you determined you will be placing your TV.
