I fell asleep eventually but my sleep didn't last long as I was woken up by some rustle in the bushes.

I wanted to pick my axe up, but I couldn't find it.

Y/N: What? Where the fuck is it?

I whispered angrily.

I stood up and followed the noise, which was luring me deeper into the forest.

It was a bad idea to follow the noise, since it was obviously a trap, but I have to find out who's causing this.

A few minutes later I arrived at an empty place with a woman standing in the middle of it.

Y/N: Who are you?

???: My name is Faye.

Y/N: What do you want, Faye?

She turned around and faced me.

Faye: Just wanted to look at the man that killed my son.

So this has to be the wife of Kratos.

Y/N: Couldn't you wait with that until morning?

Faye: Is this all a joke for you? Killing my innocent son and then laugh about it.

Y/N: Your son deserved to die.

She got angry after my comment, but she was still able to hold her rage back.

Faye: Why? He did nothing to you.

She said, holding back her tears.

Y/N: Your son and your husband killed my only son and they both have to pay for that.

This surprised her.

Faye: They never kill innocent people. This must mean your son was attacking them or being in their way.

Y/N: I don't care why they killed him. The fact is that they did and now Kratos will know how it feels like to lose a son.

Faye: You're evil.

This made me chuckle.

Y/N: If I'm evil for wanting to avenge my son's death, then what is Kratos? Ever thought about that?

Faye: I told you already, they don't kill for no reason.

Y/N: Neither do I.

Faye: You have a problem with Kratos, not with his son or his allies.

Y/N: His son was the main reason for my son's death. He shot him with an mistletoe arrow, which was his only weakness.

Her eyes widened as she realised who my son was.

Faye: Your son...is Baldur, isn't he?

Y/N: He is.

I answered with a nod.

Faye: He isn't dead. Kratos told me-

Y/N: Stop lying.

Faye: I'm not! Kratos told me he's keeping him as a prisoner. They didn't kill him.

Y/N: Do you really think I'll believe in your lies?

Faye: Why would I lie?

Y/N: To save your husband's skin. Help him avoid suffering the same fate as his son.

Faye: I'm trying to end this bloodshed, before even more innocent people lose their lives.

Y/N: You mean before your husband loses his life. I'm not planning on killing anybody else but him.

Faye: You have to kill me first for that to happen.

Y/N: If you'll stand in my way, I will.

Faye: You're a fool in believing the lies about your son's death and killing my innocent son for that.
