Idk like 4 years later
I was offered the job at the clergy, and I took it. Everyone has been so nice, helping me with things, showing me how and what to do. I've only met two of the four papas, I've met our father nihil and copia, copia is a sweetheart, he shows me his rat collection. Ever since one of the other 3 papas showed me the clergy, it's been weird... cumulus had told me his name was secundo, he was nihils second eldest son, he did seem like a nice guy when I met him but I guess people can change.
I finished majority of my duties, and was almost done mopping the kitchen floors before one of the sister bursted in "sister Y/N! There's a meeting in the grand hall, quick! Follow me" I could barely say anything before I was dragged into the grand hall. Everybody was taking their seats as the papas were lined up infront of the room "good after noon my young ones, as you may of heard the role of assistant has been opened up again, last year we had a few mishaps... not naming any names here, terzo-" nihil along with the other papas glared at terzo "a few more notes for today then your all free to leave"
Nihil was just complaining about the ghouls and complimenting a few sisters "lastly, our dear sister imperator, has chosen the assistants for your papa" nihil smiled nodding at sister imperator who was standing on the side, he pulled his glasses out of his pockets as everyone started leaving, he was calling random names when I was leaving the room "...and, Y/N!" I paused, turning around and walking towards nihil nervously "thank you my dear... congratulations your secundos assistant for the time being!" Secundo rolled his eyes, glaring at me. Nihil pushed me towards secundo "have fun you two, don't tire this one out to much son" nihil patted secundos back, walking out of the hall
I pulled my hands behind my back "apologies papa" I mumbled, being pulled by my arm out of the hall and past the sisters "p-papa?" I could feel his claws digging into my wrist "quiet." He said, pulling me into his office, in pulling I mean throwing me into his office, I fell into his desk; I was shaking "papa- I'm sorry" he glared at me, walking behind his desk and sitting down "pay attention Y/N" I stood up, gaining my balance "papa is to be used while in public, secundo will do fine while we are alone. Your desk is in the corner, so come find me amid you need help" his gruff tone changed into a soft somewhat calming, I wonder why people hated him, sure he was aggressive like just now but he seemed sweet. I quietly walked towards the desk in the corner, I pulled the chair out sitting down, I glanced at secundo blushing.
