3rd POV

Kakyoin and Y/N have spoken a lot while at the café, just like in the olden days. It was still fun talking about nothing and anything for both of them, even if it was important or not. It was a joy to Kakyoin to feel welcome and even closer to his best friend. Y/N didn't know it yet, but he enjoyed every interaction with her since he came back home. Talking was a pleasure for him. He's never this talkative, but with Y/N? Hoo boy, he's gonna talk her ear off as much as he can.

Y/N was doodling in her sketchbook while still joking around with Kakyoin. Kakyoin didn't even pick up his book, he was way more intrigued about Y/N's doodles and what she had to say than that book. No offense to Y/N, of course. It costed her money to buy that book and he'll definetely finish it.

After some smiles and laughs here and there, it got quiet. Y/N kept calmly doodling on her sketchbook pages and Kakyoin was quietly reading the book, turning page after page. It wasn't a sad or awkward silence, it was quite comfortable and the soft music in the background made it even better.
Y/N heard a small growl come from her stomach, indicating she was hungry as fuck. She silently looked up at Kakyoin, hoping he didn't hear it. But luck was not on her side that day and Kakyoin was already peeking up at her from his book. After a few seconds of a staring game, Kakyoin chuckled.

"You want to order something? I'm quite hungry as well."

Y/N nodded and called over a waitress to give them a menu. They both got turns on the menu, Kakyoin insisted that Y/N should look first for what she wants. Kakyoin always came out a winner in these "who goes first?" situations.

After they both decided, the waitress came to their table. She let her weight on one leg, with a pen and a small notebook in hand, ready to write down their orders. A small and warm smile on her face, emitting a friendly vibe.

"So, have you two decided?"

"Uh, yes. I'll have a cherry shortcake, with seperate extra cherries and cherry tea."
Everything that Kakyoin had was with cherries. Y/N knew about his cherry addiction, she thought it was very cute and she called him cherry boy from time to time.
Kakyoin glanced at Y/N, indicating it's her turn.

"Yea, i'll have a (food of choice) and a (drink of choice)."

The waitress wrote down everything they said, the friendly smile not moving an inch from her face.

"Alright, lovebirds. Your orders should be here in 10 minutes or so."

The waitress winked at both of them, making her way to the counter and into the back.
Kakyoin and Y/N couldn't say a thing. Kakyoin's face was literally a cherry and Y/N's face matched his. (two cherries<3)
Y/N lowered her gaze and went back to scribbling and doodling on her sketchbook. Kakyoin looked down as well and went back to reading. Both were very quiet once again and it wasn't a calm and chill silence anymore. It was quite awkward. The soft music in the background made it way worse than before.
The song was very sweet and charming, but it was not suitable for the time being. Kakyoin recognised the song immediately, his mom used to listen to it all the time. 'Emotions' by Brenda Lee. Ah, such a sweet song. The lyrics are quite sad, but still a pleasant song to listen to.

Kakyoin's POV

I was embarrassed to hell and back. Mortified, for a lack of better words. I look back at Y/N, seeing her bury her nose back in her sketchbook. I copy her actions and move my eyes back to my romance book.
