A Paw Patrol Story 4:The Dino Wilds

Chapter 1

It was a bright morning in Adventure Bay, while the pups were just getting up, Matthew was standing on top of the Lookout, thinking about the temple in the jungle.

Matthew:(Maybe I should take Sweetie's offer and go to BarkingBurg to learn how to translate all of that writing in the temple.)

???: Matthew?

Matthew looked down, seeing that Chase was calling out for him. Matthew used his grapple wristbands to slowly come down.  Matthew decided to scare Chase by jumping onto the German Shepherd's back. Chase immediately jumped a little, quickly turning, seeing that Matthew was on his back.

Chase:Are you serious?

Matthew:(Chuckles) You should have seen the look on your face.

Chase chuckled and rolled his eyes as he lowered his body, allowing Matthew to climb onto the ground.

Chase:Were you on top of the Lookout again?

Matthew:Yeah.

Chase: You've been up there a lot lately, is something on your mind?

Matthew: It's just a nice place to clear my head.

Chase:Is this about the temple?

Matthew:Wow, nothing gets past you.

Chase:(Giggles) You gotta try a lot harder if you want to hide how you feel from me. Let's go inside and talk.

Just as Matthew and Chase were gonna go inside, Skye suddenly tripped over, knocking over Chase. Skye saw that she was right in front of Chase's face. The two pups immediately started blushing.

Skye: Sorry about that.

Skye got off Chase, allowing the German Shepherd to get back on his feet.

Matthew:(Seeing these two together is quite special.)

Chase:(Softly Chuckles) It's alright.

Matthew:How about you two spend some time together?

Chase:I thought we were gonna talk?

Matthew:We can do that later.

Skye:What do you say?

Chase: Okay then.

As Chase and Skye walked away, Matthew saw that Marshall was coming over.

Marshall:Nice one.

Matthew:How has it been between you and Everest?

Marshall: Pretty good, she's actually coming over.

Matthew: That's nice.

Marshall:You mind getting on my back? I don't want you to be by yourself.

Matthew climbed onto Marshall's back as the dalmatian started to go about his day. Meanwhile, Chase and Skye were talking with each other.

Chase:So Skye, ever since we've met, I feel like that we could be more than just friends…

Skye:(Softly Chuckles) I know Matthew has been giving you advice on how to make our relationship better.

Chase:How?

Skye: I've also been asking him for help.

Chase:He gives pretty good advice huh?

Skye: Probably the best.

Chase:I just want to know if you feel the same way?

Skye:What makes you think that I don't?

Chase: Maybe you deserve someone better than me.

Skye then licked Chase's cheek.

Skye: There's no one I would rather be with, than you.

Chase:By the way, I've been meaning to ask about what happened during that forest fire.

Skye: Matthew was quite the hero that day, he ran through fire to save me.

Chase: He's done a lot ever since he arrived here.

Skye:What do you think about Marshall and Everest?

Chase:(Giggles) I hope Matthew is helping them out, Marshall could use that support.

Skye:We should probably head back.

Chase:Shall we?

(Music Ends)

Back at the Lookout, Matthew was hanging out with Rocky and Ryder as they were working on Ryder's ATV.

Rocky:So, our little human member is giving dating advice?

Matthew: It's not dating advice, I'm just helping them improve their relationships.

Ryder: Sounds like dating advice.

Matthew: You're not helping, Ryder!

Rocky:I think it's cute that you care so much.

???: Hey guys!

They saw that Everest had arrived.

Rocky:Hey Everest.

Everest then looked at Matthew.

Everest:How have you've been doing, Matt?

Matthew: Pretty good.

Everest: Have you seen Marshall anywhere?

Rocky:Why do you ask?

Everest blushed a little, trying to hide how she felt.

Everest:I just want to know.

Matthew: He's probably playing with the others.

Everest: Thanks Matthew.

Everest walked away as Rocky gently patted Matthew's back.

Rocky:Nice going, "matchmaker!"

Matthew:Be quiet!

Rocky couldn't help but laugh. Ryder then started going towards the Paw Patroller.

Rocky:Where are you going, Ryder?

Ryder: I'll be back.

After Ryder left, Matthew decided to watch Marshall and Everest, making sure that their relationship was going well.

Marshall:So Everest, what do you really think about my place here?

Everest:What do you mean?

Marshall:Do you think that I'm too clumsy and cause more problems?

Everest:Of course not. You may be a bit clumsy, but that's what I love about you. 

Marshall immediately blushed.

Marshall:You love me?

Everest quickly looked away.

Everest:Um…

Marshall then licked Everest's cheek. Everest then looked at Marshall.

Marshall:I love you too.

Everest smiled as she laid her head against Marshall's chest.

Marshall:(Thank you, Matthew.)
