Reader x Adam driver
You just had the longest day of your life shooting
your upcoming movie with Adam driver. It's an action movie so you're constantly working out and training on top of filming. It's been fun but also incredibly difficult. You spent 18 hours on set today and all you want to do is go home. Finally you walk out to your car, unlock it, get in, and then turn it on. and then turn it on. And then... turn it on? "why the fuck isn't it turning on?" you say to yourself exhaustedly. you try one more time. "Fuck!" Adam parked near you and as he's walking to his car he sees you having your little meltdown.
"Need help?" He asks.
"Yeah, my cars not turning on and I don't know why. I just filled up the tank yesterday."
Being the control freak he is, he says "oh let me try it. It's probably just user error."
Oh yeah, this is the perfect time for his attitude, you think to yourself. He tries to start the car. You stand outside with your arms crossed knowing you were fucking right.
"I don't think it's supposed to make that sound." Captain obvious states. "Lemme just drive you home."
You were in a mood after being up for so long, but that gesture almost got you out of it. Almost. Adam is the only person with that effect on you. But you won't let him know that yet.
"Are you sure? You're probably really tired I can just call a-" he cut you off
"Nope. I'm driving you home." You get in his car and give him the address. "Feel free to sleep if you want." He offers. You decline.
"If you have to be up then I'll stay up too." Half an hour into the ride home you ask if he wants to stay for pizza because the next day is an off day. After some coxing he says yes. You call it in and 15 minutes later you pull up to your house. You get in the door and both sit on the couch. You turn on the tv. It didn't even matter what was playing because you both were falling asleep anyway. You moved closer to him and put his arm around you. "Damn." You thought. "He's got some nice ass arms." You felt butterflies in your stomach. You were so comfortable on the couch happy to hear his heartbeat when all of the sudden the doorbell rang. "Jesus Christ" you jumped and answered the door. You paid the guy, tipped him of course, and got you and adam some plates.
"Pizzas shit in LA" he states. You nod your head.
"Every time I get it I think, "it can't be that bad right?" And it always disappoints." You say. You then offer him a beer. He accepts. As you open it you say "can't drink and drive, guess you gotta stay over now."
"What a shame." Adam says sarcastically. You both go back to the couch and turn on whatever the fuck was on before. You yawn. "Wanna go into bed?" He asks. You quietly say yes. You get into bed and Adam holds you tight. You both comforted by the warmth of the other. He misses you on the forehead and you pull him closer. Nothing else happened that night but you were still the happiest person on earth the next morning when you woke up to see that he was still there next to you.
