chapter 3 🌱

heizou pov :

It was a Monday as it was time for me to go back to school. Man, I missed sleeping in all week. Seems like I can't do that anymore, I sighed. I walked inside as I took off my jacket and my scarf and headed towards my class. I walked through the halls and saw went inside the classroom and saw everyone there. "Oh god." I muttered. I walked to my desk and sat down and opened up my book only to be interrupted by, "Hey Heizou! You're finally back!" Venti yelled out. "Good to see you back, man, Venti was sobbing the whole time last week." Kazuha laughed. "STOP EXPOSING ME KAZUHA!" Venti yelled as the others were laughing. I laughed as well as I then felt stacks of paper being slammed onto my desk. "These are yours. The teacher said that you have until next week to finish." I looked up to see Scara looking down at me.

"Oooooh~ lets go guys, lets leave them alone." Aether snicked as the others walked to their desks. "Fuckin weirdos." Scara said through his teeth. I laughed as the class began and Scara sat next to me.

"Good morning class, good to see that you are all here... oh! Good to see you again, Heizou." The teacher smiled as everyone stared at me as well.

Good lord I want to leave already. "Alright then, let's get started shall we?"

Class then ended as I sat down with my friend group. "It's good to see you back, Heizou!" Hu Tao smiled. "Hu Tao, please don't talk with food in your mouth, it's really disgusting..." Ei sighed as she took a bite of sakura mochi. "Oh yea Heizou, Scara hasn't been sleeping when you weren't here last week, he clearly loves you." Ei laughed a bit. "UGHHHH, you didn't have to expose me like that!" Scara yelled at her. "Aww, you love me?" I teased him as I pinched his cheek.

"What the hell's your problem? That's not something to say to people." Scara spat out his cheeks turned pink. "Goodness gracious, get a room you two." Xiao said, clearly annoyed with the two of us. I didn't care. I love Scara too much. "Aww, I think they look cute together though." Yamate smiled. "I think we look cute together." Kazuha said, as he kissed Yamate's cheek. "YOU TWO. GET A FUCKING ROOM. NOW." Xiao yelled out as he slammed both of his hands on the table.

after school...

It was after school and I waved Scara goodbye as I went into Kujou Sara's car and buckled in my seatbelt as she started to drive us home. "How's your day been, kiddo?" She asked. "Same old, same old." I sighed. "Oh really? Nothing interesting to tell me?" She asked again and I shook my head in response. "How's your boyfriend?" She asked. "Can you not!?" I yelled out, my face turning red as Sara laughed at my face. It was 3:30 as we eventually made it home as I threw my bag onto the table in front of the couch and took off my shoes and flopped onto the couch. "God, I'm beat..."

"You can take a shower first, kiddo. I'm gonna make dinner." Sara said as I nodded and headed upstairs. I went to my room and grabbed a white oversized t-shirt along with black sweatpants and headed to the bathroom. I took off my school uniform and took off my hairtie and turned on the water. I felt the warm water run down my back as I let out a sigh in relief. After I was finished, I put on my clothes and blow dried my hair before going downstairs. "You're just in time." Sara smiled as she turned on the TV.

scaramouche pov :

"It's 4:00. Ei and I will pick you up at 4:30, alright?" Mona said. I nodded as I went out of car and shut the door as Ei drove off. I was at the Sumeru house for therapy. Apparently I come here almost everyday to visit Nahida. Gosh dang it, I don't know why I hate this place. I went up the door and rang the doorbell, greeted by Collei. "Hey Scara! Are you here for Nahida?" She asked as I nodded awkwardly. Collei nodded as she escorted me in. "She's in her room right now, I don't think she's busy." She said.

"Okay." I replied as I walked upstairs and made it to her room. God, I regret this. I sighed before making a couple knocks on the door. I waited a few seconds before Nahida eventually opened the door. "Hey Scara. You can come in." She smiled. I rolled my eyes as I walked in and sat on the chair that I usually sit in. "Do you want some tea?" She asked as I just nodded. "Alright, wait here." She said as she closed the door and I heard her go downstairs.

I scrolled on my phone for a bit as I saw Nahida come back with a tray that had a teapot and two tea cups. Nahida sat down on the chair in front of my as she placed the tray down and poured us both a cup.

I eventually took the cup to the mouth and let the warm liquid run down my throat as Nahida drank some as well. "So Scara, how have you been?" She asked with a warm smile. "Fine, I guess..." I muttered.

"How are your sisters?" She then asked as I then let out a small groan. "Good lord, may I ask something?" I asked and she nodded in response.

"Why am I here again? Nahida didn't say anything but place her cup back onto the plate.

"I'm here to help you Scara. I know that you've been through a lot, but your sisters reached out to me and they were worried about you and your health..." She sighed. I banged my hands on the table making the tea cups rattle. "Help me!? I don't need any help! I'm perfectly fine with helping my goddamn self!" I yelled. Nahida dodn't say anything again as she then pursed her lips.

"...I'm sorry." I muttered as I looked away in complete despair. Fuck. what the hell is wrong with me?
