I was sitting on my bed reading a book when my cell phone rang
"Hello?"
"Hey, Kat"
"Oh hi, Liam what's up?"
"I uh... I just got back from the doctor..."
"......."
"......."
"...and? What did he say?"
"...I've been diagnosed with Cerebral Hypoxia"
"Oh my god........ Liam I'm so sorry"
"Well that should explain the seizures I've been having lately"
"...so... Tomorrow's Monday. Are you coming to school?"
"Well there's no reason not to. I will just take medication in the morning"
"Okay. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Yeah.... Love you sweetheart"
"Aight. Love you too babe"
"Bye"
"Baii"
And of course I didn't really understand how bad things could get until it got to that point....
That call...
That diagnosis...
Changed everything...
Not just for Liam and his family...
But for me too...
