Sam slams down on the breaks and turns to Astrid in horror, she too felt the earth shattering shake and her eyes are now wide with the same horror that Sam feels.

"N....no....it....it can't be"

Sam gets out of his car and looks behind him. He hears a shriek and watches Lana collaps into Quinn in front of him, but Sam cannot take his eyes off of the large shimmering bowl that had appeared rate behind them. Astrid runs to Sam but he is running towards the wall. He slams against it and begins banging on it as hard as he can, screaming in rage.

"BRIANNA!!! BRIANNA"

Some of the other parents have begun to do the same but it's Quinn, Lana, Dekka, Edilio, Roger, Diana, and Astrid who stand back. They know their children can't hear them. Quinn grabs onto Sam's shoulders and pulls him away from the wall.

"This can't be happening again Quinn" shouts Sam as Quinn pulls him back.

"No.....no this isn't happening....m...my daughter's 16... S...she was safe she was supposed to be safe!"

"I know...my son is 15 and yet..." Quinn's strong voice fails him as it gets just with a sob.

Quinn hands Sam off to Astrid and they embrace each other.

"How is this happening, they checked everywhere! The radiation was gone!" Shouts Dekka.

"Why don't you go ask the kids yourself......oh wait..."

Never before have any of them seen Dekka move so quickly. She jumps onto Diana and punches her in her mouth.

"Shut up!! My Goddaughter's in there and we are getting her out!"

Tears stream down Dekka's dark skin and Sam and Astrid pry her off of Diana. He hands her over to her wife and she hides her face in her shoulder, body shuttering with tears.

"Jack! What about Jack! He's just a baby he's helpless, Edilio they're going to kill our baby!"

"No they're not Roger"

"How do you know" says Diana

"Because they're our children"

"Sam .....man...... I know that thought makes you feel good but let's be honest, we didn't think we were capable of doing what we did in there...right Diana?"

Edilio turns his head at Diana, who is shuttering at the immediate memory of Panda.

"We told our kids our stories, they know what he had to do to survive, they know about the powers some of us possessed..." Sam looks around and raises his voice so everyone can hear.

"Quinn, why'd you take Harley on all of those fishing trips? Or Lana, why do you insist he practice Medicine, not as a job but as something to know? And why were so many of you insistant on teaching your kids advanced survival skills?"

"What makes you think you two were perfect parents" shouts a voice in the distance.

"I never said that I....." Sam looses his words but Astrid quickly finds them.

"Sam and I are not perfect parents! We spent our daughters birthdays in fear all the way up to her 15 ... We have taught her weapons training, how to ration food...everything. There is a reason we did this people!" She pauses for a moment. Every eye is glued to Astrid, and she has a memory of how similar this looks during the FAYZ.

" There is a reason our kids know how to go weeks....no months with little food, how to make the most with minimal medical supplies...we did all this because we knew this was coming back...deep in our hearts and in our minds, we subconsciously knew that there would come a day that lured every parent out and leave our kids alone, that this bowl....the FAYZ would come back. But not trapping us, but trapping our kids instead".

There are nods of agreement as the crowd hangs on Astrid's every word .

"What'd we do than"

"I'll tell you what we are going to do...nothing"

Angry screams erupt from the crowd.

"She's right!" Shouts Edilio with tears in his eyes.

"Astrid's right... Our parents weren't the ones who got us out of there, hell they were ready to kill us if need be, we got ourselves out and I have no doubt that all of our kids can do the same".

Sam taps Edilio on the shoulder and whispers into his ear.

"Why did the Gaiaphage have to lure us out? Why didn't it just zap us out like it did the last time...and a lot of those kids are 15 and 16 yet, they're still in there....why?"

Edilio shakes his head.

"I don't know man, but I do know one thing...the Gaiaphage is back....and it is weak".
