Chapter 1

purupurupuru purupurupuru. Ace and Sabo awake at the sound of the transponder snail ringing. "Sabo get the denden." Ace groaned out with his face in the pillow not wanting to get up.

Sabo groaned as he pushed himself up, obviously not wanting to get up either. "Hello, you have reached co-second division commander Sabo of the whitebeard pirates how can I help you?"

"S-sabo?" the voice on the other end sobbed out. That had ace jumping up and snatching the transponder snail immediately.

"Luffy!? Luffy what's wrong are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"I-i I I-i" Luffy burst into sobs not able to say anything. "Th-there there was...there was-" He tried again but was still unable to finish his explanation.

"Hey, hey, calm down it's okay, take a deep breath, everything is going to be okay." Ace soothes. After Luffy calms down Ace continues. "Okay now try again tell us what's wrong."

"I uh, I h-had another night vision." Luffy said, still sobbing a little.

"Does it have anything to do with the crew?" Sabo asked softly.

"Mhmm, you guys looked really upset when I saw you." Luffy explained. "Oh! I've been keeping track of your adventures just like you told me to." Luffy added proudly the denden mushi imitating his expression perfectly.

"That's great Luffy but what does this have to do with your vision?" Sabo questioned. Luffy's expression immediately became more solemn again making Sabo feel a little guilty.

"Well because one of your crewmembers that I saw in the news, umm Thotch... Thap.. Tatch.." The denden mushi imitated Luffy's face scrunching up in thought as tried to think of the name.

"Thatch?" Ace put in chuckling a little.

"Yeah him!" Luffy exclaimed beaming at now knowing his name.

"What about him Luffy?" Sabo asked in an attempt to get back on track. It worked as Luffy started to explain what he saw with a frown once again on his face making Sabo feel guilty for the second time.

"He was on the floor a-and there was s-so much blood everywhere." Luffy explained very close to bursting out in tears again. "H-he w-wasn't breathing, and you g-guys were r-really upset and it m-made me upset and.. and..." he trailed off, bursting into tears again as his brothers tried to calm him down.

"Hey, calm down Lu, none of that is going to happen, we won't let it. do you know who did it?" Sabo tried calming him down though the words were just as much for Ace and himself as they were for Luffy.

"No." he answered.

"Okay, that's alright. do you have any clues that might help us?"

"Mhmm...

"Alright is that all Lu?" Ace asked.

"Yep."

"Alright Than. Go back to sleep we will take care of it don't worry. Call us if you find out anything else, ok?"

"Ok, good night."

"Good night, Lu." Ace and Sabo said in unison as they hung up.

"I'll go get the devil fruit encyclopedia you try and make sense of some of this other stuff." Sabo said before leaving for the library.
