Brad's P.O.V
We'd been waiting forever in the waiting room. I couldn't sit still, I was constantly fidgeting. I was scared. The Vamps, just wouldn't be The Vamps without James. In fact if it wasn't for James we wouldn't be a band at all. I don't think I'd ever want to look at another guitar if James... went.
I felt a hand on mine and looked up at Tris. He smiled weakly, but I could see behind it. I half smiled back and turned to look at Connor on my left. He was sat hugging his legs, staring at the white wall across blankly. I went to comfort him when a lady walked in. "Connor, Brad and Tristan here to see James McVey?" She asked. We all stood. "This way please." She said.
We followed her through endless corridors. I hated hospitals. All those white walls and that horrid chemical smell. The wooden doors of sick and injured. It just saddened me and made me shiver. Somewhere behind the doors of injured was James. The lady finally stopped at a wooden door, just like the others and opened it. Connor was in before we could even think about taking a step. James sat there in a hospital. He had a cut on his cheek and a bruise on the other and a cut on his lip. His arms were covered in cuts and bruises. I couldn't tell if he had any other injuries, apart from the bandage on James's arm, signalling he'd done something to his wrist again.
Connor rushed to his side and put a hand on James's head. "Oh God tell me you still remember me." Said Connor. James giggled. "Of course I remember you."
Connor frowned and so did I.
"He was in a lot of pain, his leg was broken badly, so we put him to sleep for a while, whilst we sorted everything. He could be a little drowsy and well... weird." Said the lady. She left shutting the door behind her.
"You're Connor are you not? Unless you changed your identity, but you still look like the boy from my dreams." Said James, holding Connor's hand. Connor blushed and glanced up at me and Tris. "Sh, James not now." Said Connor.
Now it was James's turn to frown. "James? Who's James?" He asked. I let out a small chuckle. Tris sat down in a chair and I sat on his lap. We were all relieved James was perfectly fine.
"You're James stupid." I said.
"No, I'm Dorothy." He said.
"Of course." Said Tris. I could feel and hear him laughing from behind me.
"You know who I am don't you?" I asked, just checking.
"Yes, Bradley." Then 'Dorothy' frowned. "Tristan likes you, a lot." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"No shit Sherlock." Muttered Tris. "If that was a secret, 'Dorothy' you'd be dead." He added.
"Haha I nearly was." Said James. The room quietened at this.
"Well I'm getting something to eat, 'cos I'm starving. I had no breakfast and it's nearly lunch." I said.
"Same." Said Tris.
I got up. "Con you coming?"
"Nah I'm ok." He said.
"He can share my grapes." Said James. "Come to think of it I have none. I thought everyone got grapes in hospital!"
I laughed. "We'll get you some grapes Ja- Dorothy, don't you worry."
"Don't forget flowers!" He shouted after us. Me and Tris both chuckled.
We had walked down to a nearby Costa to by a drink and a sandwich.
I finished mine and so did Tris.
"I'm so relieved James is ok." I said.
"You have no idea." Said Tris.
Tristan's P.O.V
It was just me and Brad. Together. I had to tell him. Ask him more like. But I didn't know how. We finally got up and walked through some kind of park to the shop to buy grapes and flowers for James.
"Brad." I said, my hand reaching for his. He looked up at me. "Yeah?"
"Um well, you know how we're... like this." I said and held up our hands, fingers entwined. He smiled and then he stopped. He let go.
"What?" I asked as he came to a halt.
"You're not... stopping... us, are you?" He asked.
I looked at him horrified. "No, no God never ever."
He relaxed and sighed.
"Quite the opposite actually." I said. "Brad I never actually asked you this question, but will you be my boyfriend? Mine?" I asked. He blushed and smiled. "Of course Trissy." He said.
I leaned down and kissed him. I pressed my forehead to his. "Thank God."
He grinned. "Now, let's go get these flowers and grapes for... what was it again? Dorothy?"
Brad laughed and I grabbed his small hand once again.
We arrived at the hospital to see James, with his flowers and grapes in our hands. The lady pointed to the door. We opened it and saw Connor and James both leaning in for what should be a kiss. We quickly shut the door. "What should we do?" I asked.
"Let them have a moment and then enter." Said Brad.
So we waited a while.
"I think we should go in." Said Brad. I nodded. We entered the room and both of them were acting normal as though nothing had ever happened.
We passed James the flowers and grapes.
"What are these for?" He asked.
I glanced over at Connor.
"He had a nap, the stuff wore off." He said. I nodded.
"Well earlier-"
"When you were high as hell." Added in Brad. I looked down and grinned.
"you asked why you had no grapes to share with Con and also asked us to pick up some flowers so there you go." I finished.
He smiled. "Did I say anything I shouldn't have?"
"Well, you said Connor was the guy of your dreams." Said Brad, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"I did?" Asked James, blushing slightly.
Connor glared at Brad, but Brad just smiled back.
"Well, you also mentioned how Tris liked Brad, a lot." Said Connor.
I shrugged and sat down in a chair. "True, very true." Brad looked at me and I winked at him. He bit his lip, a habit I loved.
"I sense some kind of war going on here and sexual tension between Tris and Brad." Said James.
"Sorry, Dorothy how about we give you some time alone with Con?" Asked Brad.
"Who's Dorothy?" Asked James.
"You my friend, you." I said as me and Brad left.
