It all happened so quickly, I really didn't expect it to be this fast paced. One minute I was sat up in the hospital bed doing crosswords and telling my mother I felt "a little bit more like myself today," and then what felt like an electric current had whizzed through my body, killing me. I wish I could explain it better, but that's all I remember.
Death isn't what you think it is. It's almost like you are dropped through to another dimension and are instantly greeted by someone where you haven't a clue who they are. His name is Jake. He died 17 years ago, at the ripe age of 24. Motorbike accident. I guess you're wondering how I died? I died from taking a reckless overdose. Anyway...
"Ah! So have you finally finished yourself up then?" The strange guy asked, who happened to be Jake.
"Have I...? How did you even?" I tried to ask.
"Violet, you must know what's happened? Did Hilary not read through the Gates Book with you?" He fumbled in his satchel for what I assumed was the "Gates Book."
"Hilary? Who's that? Look, I don't have the foggiest of ideas on who you are so could you please just tell me what I'm doing here and where I am!"
"I know exactly why you haven't been shown the Book. I'm so sorry for all of this, I'm just a bit disappointed that you haven't come to Gates in a natural way. You fell through the sky, right?" He asked.
"Um, yeah. It happened so fast, one minute I was in hospital being treated, and the next I was zooming through the ground- except it was the sky? And then I landed here, as if I'd just been woken up from a fantastic sleep." I told him. "What's Gates?"
"Let me just explain some er- information to you. Gates is basically what everyone calls heaven. The reason you wasn't shown our Book is because you still have a chance to revive. Hence the reason why you were zooming through places. If you just come with me, I'll get you started." He said warily.
My mind felt like it had just been blown to smithereens and I'm now attempting to piece it together with PVA glue. What is going on?
