"Stop! Don't tickle me, I'm driving!" I squealed, tilting my neck and pushing my shoulders as far into my sides as possible to stop Derek from continuously tickling me. I giggled and squealed, stupidly and smiled wide.
"Derek!" I squealed again and quickly pulled over into a fast-food car park.
"What we getting food?" Derek asked, stopping tickling me and eyeing up the big, KFC sign. I hit his shoulder, playfully and he pulled a small frown and began to fake cry. I began playing along and dramatically apologised like I was in a sad romance movie.
"Oh, Derek! I am so sorry! Please may thou forgive me? I love you Derek, truly!" I said, in a mockingly fancy accent and laughed. I leaned a head on Derek's shoulder.
"That last bit was true, by the way." I added. I felt him nod slightly and then rest his head on the top of mine.
"I know." He replied, quietly and gave me a small kiss. I smiled and snuggled deeper into him.
"So... we getting food?" Derek said, chuckling. I looked up at him and laughed.
"Of course you want food..." I said. He raised his eyebrows. "No." I added. He gently pulled away from me and pouted slightly, crossing his arms like a toddler who didn't get pudding after eating dinner. He glanced at me and I stared at him, he quickly looked and pouted even more. I giggled slightly and pushed his shoulder.
"Grow up!" I laughed. Derek just began to cry, mockingly and I waved a hand dismissively in the air. I reconsidered it for a second.
"Ugh, Fine! I can't say no to you, but you're paying!" I said, getting out of the car and slamming it loudly behind me. A few seconds later, Derek came out, almost bursting with excitement.
"I love KFC, mmh it's so good!" Derek said, walking towards me.
"I know, babe." I replied, getting his brown wallet out of my handbag and handing it to him. He grabbed it and fished out a small, green debit card. Derek then gave me back his wallet and I put it back into the black, leather handbag. I walked over to Derek and gave him a kiss. He smiled.
"Come on." He said, nudging his head toward the KFC. I nodded and, whilst holding hands, we walked through the big and busy car park and into the KFC. The place was almost full, aside from one or two small tables in the corners and the sides. The place had its usual red-and-white theme with red seats and grey-speckled tables with white, marble flooring that contrasted from all the dark black and grey accents. There were small black columns as dividers and me and Derek eventually found somewhere to sit, it was in one corner of the restaurant where it seemed to be quite quiet and where no one sat, but me and Derek were very happy about that because it meant we could kiss or hug without any children getting disgusted or anyone else getting disgusted. We sat down opposite each other and held each others hand. I smiled even wider than I already was.
"I love KFC so much, babe, like you don't understand." Derek sighed in some sort of relief. I giggled.
"I know, baby." I replied and leaned over the table and gave him a short but sweet kiss. He chuckled. I sat back down and adjusted in my seat and looked around as I did so. I saw outside the large window out into the parking lot and quickly spotted Derek's beige, 64' impala. I don't know why but it seems everyone tries to hunt down their car when they see the car park they had just parked in, it's like a game of hide-and-seek, really. I then looked in the opposite direction and saw some empty tables and chairs, aside from two. One was of a mother and her two children, which seemed to be three or younger and the other one was a man. A man sitting lonely in a two-seater table, eating a chicken wing. His hair was dark and just under chin length and had loose curls which appeared to have been manually crimped upwards to make them even curlier. He had a navy baseball cap on and a matching Nike jacket. He wore a grey, plaid shirt underneath and black jeans. He appeared quite handsome, but I looked back at Derek quickly before he realised just how amused I appeared to be to a random stranger. I cleared my throat.
"Do you want to go order for us, be a gentleman?" I said, smiling and then laughed a little at myself. Derek smiled and nodded.
"What do you want?" He asked, softly. A small sharpness ran down my back and a few butterflies swarmed my stomach as his buttery voice melted me completely. I quickly came back to my senses, however and replied.
"Just a box of..." I glanced over at the lonely man. He was staring right at me. "A box of chicken wings." Derek nodded and quickly got up and walked away. Now was my chance to ask the man why he was staring at me. I stood up and took in a deep breath and walked with as much confidence as I could find in myself up to him. I sat down, casually and waited for him to raise his head. As he did, I realised I couldn't see his eyes. The man had pulled the cap just under his eyes and if I wanted to see them, I would have to press the side of my face against the table and look up just to catch a glance.
"Can you raise you're hat please?" I asked, politely, putting my arms crossed on the table. He raised his hat and I saw his face fully. His nose was thin to match his full, pink lips as well as his almond-shaped eyes.(I DONT KNOW WHY THE OTHER HALF OF THE STORY GOT DELETED BUT IN SHORT, RICHARD BEGAN TO "FOLLOW" Y/N AND DEREK AND DEREK SWORE HE SAW A G//N BUT WHEN Y/N LOOKED IT WAS HER PURSE THAT SHE HAD LEFT IN THE RESTAURANT)
