I wake up to the sweet sounds of my parents arguing down the hall, i check my phone to see that it is my first day of school and my was about to go off in 5 minutes anyway. no use in staying in bed i guess. i let out a groan knowing that today is going to be a long one.
i get up and put on the outfit i picked out yesterday. its nothing much of course i just picked a hoodie that was comfortable (although a little big) and jeans. after that i go to the bathroom and fix my hair in the sink. i go to grab my hair gel and then ï realize i ran out, of fucking course. note to self: get hair gel.
i then go over to where i put my bookbag and double check that everything is in there, i cant risk forgetting something on the first day. i go into the kitchen but then i check the time on my phone and realize that if i leave now then i can probably meet Paul and Bill before school. i throw my bookbag over my shoulder and get into my old, slightly beat up car. i fix my hair so it is out of my eyes and i start making my way to school.
when i get there i see Paul and Bill sitting at one of the tables outside. i run over to them, "hey guys!", i sit down next to bill. "hey dumbass!" Paul says, "Paul! dont be rude!" Bill says, being the dad of the group as always. "nah its fine Bill i deserve it." Paul and Bill start talking but i don't know what to say so i just keep quiet for most of the conversation other then making perfectly innocent things sound extremely dirty because i am way to good at that.
over at another table i see Erica and a person who i think is her boyfriend? i dont know to be honest they are probably just be friends they just seem to hang out a lot. anyways since i know that Paul has a huge crush on Erica i point her out to him, "hey paul, the latte hatte is at the table behind youuuu" Paul turns so quickly to look that he almost falls out of his chair and me and Bill burst out laughing, "you're going to need help with this, i will go get her" i say standing up, "dont you FUCKING dare" Paul says but i just simply replied "to lateee" in a sing-song voice and start walking over to Ericas table.
"Hey! Erica right?" i ask as i walk up to their table. "no, im Emma?" oh shit i fucked that up
"oh sorry Emma, well my friend Paul-" i look back at paul and see he is super embarrassed "-has like the biggest crush on you and wont shut up about it so i was wondering if you could just talk to him for a bit" I know I know a bit on the nose but hey, i never claimed to be good at this. "well sorry but im taken" Emma says and then nods her head towards the person sitting next to her, I was about to say sorry but then the person promptly says "bitch im gay! dont lie just cause you can't talk to your crush!"
oh so i guess this wasn't Emmas boyfriend, I look over at him and- oh fuck he is so hot- not in like a gay way tho! you can find someone attractive but not be attracted to them- i am pulled out of my thoughts by Emma saying "shut up henry" in a whisper shout sorta thing "ugh fine i'll say hi to him, but you have to come" she says to who i guess is Henry, in response he smiles and says "i can deal with that if you will finally talk to Paul" Henry stands up and pulls Emma up and playfully pushes her towards Paul. i give Paul a "you're welcome" look which he replies with a "fuck you you're fucking dead" look.
Paul and Emma start talking but they are super awkward, I have no idea how to help them. "god they are so awkward" i whisper to Henry "do you have any clue how to help" i ask and look over to Henry. fuck my hair keeps fallingg, i fix it quickly but its so annoying. "i d-dont think it is possible to help them" aw Henry has a stutter thats kinda cute, not gay tho. "aw fuck well then how can we help them?"
Henry looks like he's thinking for a second and then his face lights up with a smile, I have no choice but to smile as well even though i dont even know his idea yet, "what if they sat together at lunch?" damn that is a good idea "while they would still be awkward they would have to hang out more, and maybe we could meet out here everyday because if i go anywhere Emma is almost sure to follow since she wants to have any chance she can tease me about.. my crush"
fuck he is really smart "oh my god YES you're a genius, so we will meet here everyday before school and you tell Emma that you want to sit with me at lunch and i will be sitting with Paul, Deal?" i say, deep down i think i just wanted to hang out with Henry but definitely just cause i wanted to get to know him better. "deal, i cant wait to see how this works out!"
