Y/N's P.O.VA Week Later
It's been a week since I last spoke to Lauren. It's also been a week since I told her that I bring Michael home. I lied. I'm pretty sure this is considered kidnapping by now.
He's actually helped me feel better about everything. It also made me realize that no matter what happens between Lauren and I, I will love this boy for life. Just because his mother and I are in a rocky place doesn't mean that I'm going to walk out of his life.
Although I do feel somewhat better, I still don't sleep well. There's times when I'm able to fall asleep but my dreams, more like nightmares, are of the situation. That kiss replays in my head constantly.
They both claim that it was a mistake and maybe it was. I just feel like it should've never happened to begin with. But I'm not gonna let this control my life. There's more to life than running away from your problems. Michael taught me that.
Speaking of him, we were both going home today. I decided to go back. Not to Lauren but to my damn house. I actually really miss my bed.
Mentioning Lauren, I will hand it to her. She's texted me every morning apologizing. The text is usually followed by her saying she loves me and why she loves me. Every morning being a different reason.
Then it wraps up with her saying how much she misses me and that she wants me to come home. I like her efforts so far. You can tell she's trying.
Even then, when I get back I think it's best that I stay away from her. It's still too soon and I believe that she's gonna have to try harder if she wants me back.
Despite how much I love her and how bad I'm hiding the fact that I miss her, she hurt me. Forgiving her too soon is gonna make her think that I'll forgive her anytime something like happens. She has to work for this like she's never worked before.
I finished packing up my suitcase double checking that I had everything. Odell and Lamar would be flying back with us. We have to meet with our agent and then meet up with the Ravens front office.
I had one phone call to make. I pulled out my phone pressing the call button to his contact. It rang about three times before the call connected.
"Y/N, long time no talk. What's going on?" Patrick asked.
I had him on speaker phone so Michael was hearing everything. "Pat, I got some news for you. I don't think you're gonna like it."
"That's Patrick Mahomes?" Michael said in shock.
I nodded my head at his question focusing back on the call.
"It's not what I think it is, is it?" Pat asked me
"It's exactly that. You said you wanted to be the first to know if I didn't resign with the Chiefs. I'm not resigning." I say.
I heard him sigh. "Where do you plan on going?"
"I have a meeting with the Ravens later today." I answer.
"You're going home. I'm proud of you kid. Go break records. Although if some time later in your career you want to come back to the Chiefs, you know who to call." He replied.
"Thanks Pat and we'll see about that." I chuckled.
I hung up the phone putting it back in my pocket. It took about forty five nit for us to get on my jet. Lamar and Odell had met us there.
"Odell Beckham Jr and Lamar Jackson? You're kidding right?" Michael asked.
"Nope. They're really good friends of mine. I showed them some of your highlights when I first got here." I say.
