I don't know what's more embarrassing, needing a babysitter when you're twelve, or telling your parents you just pissed your pants. When you're twelve. 😒
I couldn't make it, okay?! I just drank a little too much water and I was too late! 😫 Anyways, just forget about what I said. Mom and Dad are going out, and ever since my twin brother, Jake threw that massive party, they never trusted him to be in charge of the house again. I can't be in charge of the house, since I have Monophobia. 😖 Even if Jake is with me. So of course, we needed a damn babysitter. Yeah, a babysitter. What do they think I am, a baby?! 😠 I just hope our babysitter isn't one of those mean ones. Like, one time, dad hired us a babysitter when we were eight. Dad accidentally hired a plumber. And he was NOT in a good mood! 😐 This dude wouldn't even let us watch TV! If dad hires another plumber, I swear, I will jump out the window. But mom assured me that the babysitter was a real babysitter. 😅 "Jessica! Jake! We're leaving!" My dad calls from downstairs. Jake and I hurried down. "Okay, love you guys!" Mom says. "Bye!" Dad says. 😘 We wave as the car pulls out of the driveway. "So, what do you guys wanna do first?" A voice asks. Jake and I turn around. There's a pretty girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes sitting on the couch, reading a book. 😶 (A/N: The person on the header image is the babysitter. Hot, am I right?) "Who are you?" Jake asks. "The babysitter. DUH! You think I'm just some stranger who just appeared on the couch?" She says, rolling her eyes. 😑 "Oh ok. Cool." Jake smiles."You seem like a pretty-er-pretty nice babysitter!" The thing is, Jake almost NEVER gives compliments. And by never, I mean NEVER! Not even, "You're nice." Something was fishy. 🐠 "So, what do you guys wanna do?" She repeated. Hmm. She's a teenager. That means she doesn't play by the rules. 😏 Which means... "Can I call my best friend Chloe to come over?" I asked. Jake gives me a what-are-you-doing look. I give him a don't-tell-mom look. 😥 "Hell yeah you can! Ask her to bring popcorn." She says, grinning. "By the way, my name's Lila." "I'm Jessica, and this is Jake." I say, pointing at Jake. "Hey," Jake says shyly. I leave the two together as I quickly go grab my iPhone and dial Chloe's number. 📱 "Hello?" A voice says. "Hey, Chloe! It's me, Jess. Wanna come over?" I ask. "Yeah, sure. But what about your parents?" She asks. "Um, they aren't home. The... Babysitter is." 👶 I say. It's silent for a moment. "K, I'll be right there." Chloe says. I hang up and go back to the living room. "What did she say?" Lila asks. "She said yes!" I exclaimed. Lila cheers. "Popcorn for us!" Oh right, the popcorn. "Whoops." I say. 😳
