For all of you who are reading this message now, this text has been written after a decision I made to overhaul a majority of this book.

At the time I'm writing this, I find it lacking to my standards, and now I am currently writing it anew.

I hope yall will like this newer version.

Energy. Vast and unmatched amounts of energy exploded into being when an uranium atom nucleus was split into two by shooting a neutron into it, the reaction breaking the atom in half to become two separate elements with smaller neutrons escaping.

The energy released during this process was unfathomable to the Atlesian scientists that discovered it. When comparing the energy to the Dust found across the world of Remnant, it was found that burn or lightning dust didn't even come within 5% of the energy created by the process of Nuclear fission.

Those who had witness the atom being split, remarked on how destructive the process had been. Many felt like they had tapped into the power of gods. Afterwards, a scientist explained of his idea to create a bomb that could wipe out Grimm hordes in seconds.

Such an idea was tantalizing to every man in the room, for many had lost someone they loved or knew to the Grimm at one point in their lives. The Grimm were abominations with the sole guiding purpose of humanities total destruction, drawn to negative emotions like a moth to a flame.

It took five years, several thousand people, and almost 2 billion Lien to develop the first atomic bomb to exist. Calculations were made that the bomb had a yield of 20 kilotons of TNT, enough for it to level a small city like Argus within Mistral.

Today was the day the bomb would be tested upon a desolate island north of the coast of Vale. It would be a day that would forever change the history of the world, for better or for worse.

It would also be the day a monster, or some even call it a deity of nature, would be born from the ashes and wake of the blast.

Alarms blared loudly within the bridge of a giant flying vessel, men and women scrambling around with annoyed shouts or barking commands. A giant holographic screen was in front of the reinforced see-through, the flashing lights indicating several detailed numbers and graphs.

Papers and files flew through the air when people crashed into each other, and the frantic nature of the entire affair belying the importance of what today meant. Today the project so many of them had been working on for years would finally be tested.

Within the shadows cast by the command portion of the bridge, a man stood tall and his gaze rested upon the holographic screen, his eyes never leaving it even as people nearly crashed into him.

All you could see was his eyes and the portion of his militaristic uniform, the medals adorning the plate upon his chest suggesting he was very high up on the command ladder. Another loud alarm blared as the holographic screen flashed a bright green.

"All systems upon the weapon appear nominal, the arming device is being inserted now." An loud robotic voice echoed over the bridge.

A single screen popped into existence showing six people wearing containment suits walking up to a enormous rocket encircled by a catwalk, a heavy object being balanced between them using holding rods, their faces clearly showing the effect of carrying the object.
