Dark Ages

Chapter one

"Take one more step and I will kill her. If you want her back you will make a trade. Trade what I asked. You for her."

"Deal!" I screamed.

"Tie him up. You love her don't you? Good, maybe it will sting a little more when I kill her. That was not the deal. I know." Gunshot.

"No!!" I screamed shaking and hitting what ever I could reach.

"Ryan wake up. no! Wake up!"

It was just Alice. I was having another nightmare. After all this was week 6 and a half of not having her beside me playing with my hair and sleeping on my chest. I looked around the bedroom and it felt dull and empty without her. God I miss her so much we did everything together.

I got up to get dressed and Alice followed me into the closet and shut the door

"You need to get out and live. Brittany would not want you to do this to yourself." Alice said

"Stop!" I yelled at her, "stop talking to me like she is dead! She is out there somewhere I just know it."

"Kira said that you could stay with her. I am sure she will make you feel better."

"I swear if you say that one more time I am going to scream. I will never touch or look at a girl the same way I did with Brittany. I can't. Every time I look at a girl something about them reminds me of her."

"What reminds you of her with me" said Alice

"A lot" I replied with a smile, "Your voice, the ability to care for me even if I am being a jerk to you, and you smile the innocence in it.

"Stop, Ryan your going to make me cry, will you at least go to school today" Alice said whipping away tears.

I kissed her forehead. By that time Michael had came in. He took Alice in his arms and kissed her like she was leaving him forever, he always kissed her like that. I used to kiss Brittany like that.

"You know we are always here for you Ryan" Michael said firmly

"I know wake me when she comes back." I said jumping in to the bed.

My dreams are the only places left I could hold her in my arms and love her. The only place I could see her again.
