New planet - Viusia [1]

<Part 1> Introduction to the team

In the year 3000, people discovered a planet much larger than Earth. Its color is purple. Having sent a space drone there to get information, it turned out that it could not reach the planet. We don't know exactly what the reason is. Then it was decided to send our team in a spaceship to Viusia. That's how we decided to name the planet by voting.

My name is Ella Waze, and I am a crew member on a team that will go on an important space expedition, on which the future of humanity depends. It will be wonderful if we can live on this planet, except... I'm a little worried about who might be there.

It's a good time to tell you about our team. I work as an astronomer. I also have a great relationship with the captain and one guy. About the captain, the crew thinks of us as "father and daughter," although we really aren't. David and I don't mind it, but sometimes I'm embarrassed when people say that about us. David Chazon is our captain. He is older than all of us and has been on the space station for about 5 years. Our entire crew respects him, including me. Even before the spaceship that we would have to go to the planet was fully built, because on the old ones we would have been flying to Viusia in about 3 months, and on the new one in only 4 weeks, our crew was assembled, and David was my first friend. Next on our crew is James. He's a space geologist and also my buddy. Speaking of his character, he's a fun, caring, considerate, and cool guy. He's a little older than me, but that doesn't hinder our friendship. Bella is our nurse on the crew. She has never been in space before, which makes her very nervous. She is quiet and kind. Harry is the mechanic, in case there is a breakdown on the ship. He and David are the best at understanding the system and, if anything, will be able to fix any mistakes or check the ship. The last member of our crew is Fred. He's a very bright guy and likes to joke around. He has been a spaceship pilot more than once. His father was a former pilot, but had to end it because of his health.

Six people on a spaceship with the right resources is enough for a crew like this. Soon we will board the ship and travel to this planet, Viusia, over the next few weeks. Viusia... Even the name of the planet seems to hold some kind of mystery.

Good morning to all, crew! - said the captain cheerfully. - Today Harry should check the control system and the antenna for communication, and Bella will give me data on the state of the crew. If you have any questions, come to me. Have a good day, everyone.

A new day means new strength. We've been flying for about two weeks now. Halfway through without incident, only... James slipped and fell while cleaning the ship recently, unfortunate. He'd been out of work for about three days because of the accident and was recovering in the infirmary talking to Bella, because that's where she is most of the time. He's all right now, but I had to finish cleaning up. I didn't mind that.

I'm calm in the infirmary and since I'm done with my work, I can take a walk. Oh, Harry, look! It's "father" and "daughter." - Bella was talking along with Harry as she walked around the ship. Both spotted the captain along with me.

Good day, David. I see you and your "daughter" are talking again. - Harry said kindly and winked at me.

I'm not his daughter! How many times do I have to tell you... - Sometimes it was a little hurtful to hear that, even though everyone had known we were mates for a long time.
