Y/N set down his sack of fruits and vegetables once again on Sal's counter. He opened the sack and started to examine them as Y/N stretched in place.
"More than usual today."
Y/N cracked his neck and stopped stretching.
"Been lucky."
"How's 20 sound?"
"Getting better."
Sal just scoffed as he reached under the counter and brought out a sack of gold. He started to count out Y/N's cut but while he was doing that Y/N's eyes were fixated out of the window as everyone in the town was yelling at each other in panic.
"What's that about?"
"Panic, Y/N."
"Panic?"
"People found a dead dragon inside the old southern crystal mine."
Y/N looked at Sal.
"Noxus?"
"According to them, no. No arrow wounds, no blade gashes. Just one giant hole in its neck."
"You ever think it could be new weapon of theirs."
"Could be, but Noxus isn't set to come for another day, so I don't think this was their handiwork."
"What's your theory?"
Sal handed Y/N his cut of gold which he accepted. Sal but the bag down and looked at Y/N in the eyes.
"A bigger predator."
Y/N chuckled.
"Isn't much out there bigger than a dragon, Sal."
"This world is full of surprises."
"Not wrong about that. I'll see you later, Sal."
They nodded to each other Y/N left the shop. Upon stepping onto the street, he could the town folk gathered around a man standing on a box again. Y/N simply walked past the group but stopped to listen for a moment after hearing something that caught his interest.
"My brothers and sisters, can you all be so blind? We have a Dragon Slayer among us!"
"How do you know that?"
"Yeah!"
"No dragon has been killed in years, not since the first invasion of Noxus! It's clearly a sign that the end times are coming!"
Y/N laughed and continued to walk at those words. The people even surrounding him laughed and walked away as well but the man kept preaching.
"You're all fools! We'll see who's right eventually!"
Nighttime fell on Ionia, and Y/N sat in front of his fire inside his small cabin. He looked into the flames as the embers crackled and pop. He fell deep into thought again, this time he was looking over a large ocean on a small boat. Y/N looked into his hand at something before tossing it will his might into the deep blue. Y/N leant his head back and sighed out.
Staring at the ceiling, Y/N continued to think but this time about Akali's words. 'Coward', he didn't want to admit but she was right. Fighting is ridiculous, it only leads to pain and suffering, something he knew much of. Y/N was aware of what Noxus was, a ruthless and disciplined empire that would stop at nothing to achieve their goals.
The Ionian people to understand that if they value their lives, they should run as far away as possible. If they continue to throw themselves at Noxus, it's only a matter of time before they all fall. Y/N cupped his face in frustration and let out an audible sigh.
