Missing Loved Ones

Neeku smelled something good making him wake up from his sleep. "Hmm.. Where is this smell coming from ?" He followed the smell to Kaz just finished making breakfast.

"Good morning Kaz. I didn't know you could cook."

Kaz chuckled "Good morning Neeku. Yeah, I just having a mood, that's all."

Next, Tam just woke up "Oh, good morning Tam. You are usually the one who wake up early before us." Neeku said.

"I had a little midnight my ship check-up last night." She responded. Then she noticed food on the table "What are these ?"

"These are art pancakes. It's just pancakes as a basic but I could decor it like this." There was a drawing all of their faces.

Tam laught after seeing a pancake of Yeager drawing "I don't think he like this as much as the taste." Kaz rubbed his neck as explaining "I'm having hard time drawing his hair."

"Well, let's have our breakfast." Neeku said. Kaz asked Bucket to call Yeager. As Bucket came to his owner, Kaz, Tam, and Neeku started having their pancakes.

"Hmm.. It's actually really good." Tam spoke first. Neeku agreed "Yes ! I am enjoying your cooking, Kaz." "Thanks guys."

Then Yeager showed up "Bucket told me that you making us breakfast." He took a seat and look at his pancake.

"Just... Taste the pancake first, Yeager. There's a phrase that you can't judge a book..." "By it's cover." Neeku finished.

Kaz smiled "Wow, Neeku ! I guess you learning so well."

"Aww, thank you Kaz. I am enjoying learn about the idioms. It is so much fun !"

Yeager gave a happy sigh as ate the pancake. He was surprised as saying "I must say, you have a good cooking skill." "Yes ! When did you learn this ?" Neeku asked.

"My uncle, John and I were used to make these pancakes every weekend. We drew together on pancakes like these..." Then suddenly Kaz was down.

Tam asked "Kaz ? You alright ?"

Kaz stared at them "I just miss him. Wish he could be here any longer."

Yeager said "I know. It's very hard but...we'll through this together. You got us. "

"Yeah, but I can't stop thinking about him. I almost couldn't sleep last night. Imaging how much pain that he had been hold for years."

Hearing that part, Yeager had a similiar with his brother. He knew that he should do something about it.

Kaz, Hugh, Norath, Tam, Neeku, Synara played snakes and ladders with Torra in her room "Yes ! Only three more steps and I'm gonna be the winner." Tam shaked a dice and threw it on the board.

She cheered as finishing her turn "And here I am. I'm win !"

Hugh complained "Ah, I almost catch you up ! "

"At least you have a chance to on second place." Kaz said.

Hugh responded "You're right..." He threw a dice and he had to do challenge "You gotta be kidding me." He took a card and read it "Do your chicken dance. Come on, why we have to play this meanless stupid game ? I'd rather play hologames."

Kaz was hurt after his friend said like that. "This game is mean to me and my uncle. You don't respect what he had done for us !" He then left the room.

Torra catched him up "Kaz !" While Tam and Synara had deal with Hugh "How could you say like that ? You two have been friends for years before met us and this is how you treat him ?!" Tam said as put Hugh on the wall.

Torra stopped Kaz on the hallway by holding his hand "Kaz, wait, please. I don't think Hugh really mean that." Then he stared at her as taking a long breath.

"Today was supposed to be my uncle's birthday but I never had a chance to make something good. We were just reuntied for few months." He expressed his feeling as his tears down.

Torra touched his cheek to wipe his tears "I understand.  It's always hard to lost someone who closes to you." Kaz hugged his girlfriend.

A minute later, Yeager came to them "Kaz." Kaz turned around as Yeager saying "Get your fireball ready. We'll bury your uncle the way he deserves."

After they buried John and built a tomb. Everyone mourned of his passing away.

Kaz wrapped himself with a sunflower blanket which was a gift from his uncle. Yeager put his arm around his shoulder while Torra holding his hand.

Next, most of them back to the Colossus. Yeager noticed Kaz still hadn't move yet "You coming ?" "Five more minutes." He sighed "Okay, I'll check on my ship first. Call me if something's up."

Then Hugh sat besides Kaz "Look buddy, I just wanna say I'm really sorry what I said back there. I didn't mean to hurt you or your uncle."

Kaz stared at him "It's okay, Hugh. I forgive you."

"I know it might not the right time but after I said those word, those women were taking serious on me."

Kaz chuckled "I told you they are really tough."
