1x2

When they arrive back at the school, Wednesday immediately heads to Enid, wanting to find out more about Rowan. Vada follows slowly, only fully joining when she's done inspecting the boat Enid and her team have been working on.

"You're Nevermore's gossip queen, what's Rowan's story?" Wednesday asks. Enid shrugs slightly. "Other than being a weird loner... uh.." She trails off. "Xavier Thorpe is his roommate, if you had a phone you could just text him and ask." She says.

Vada rolls her eyes slightly. She walks off as Enid begins explaining what the Poe Cup is to Wednesday.

Vada gets to her bed and takes off her jacket, sighing quietly as she pulls out her phone, hovering her finger over the contact for Xavier. She hesitates before putting her phone away again. Xavier and Vada had once been best friends.. but Bianca ruined that.

Wednesday walks in and immediately gets to work on writing her novel. She is silent, pulling yet another piece of paper from her typewriter and throwing it in the trash as Thing stands on the desk. Vada walks over and picked up the drawing.

"Have you found out what it means yet?" She asks. Wednesday shakes her head. "Not quite." She lightly takes the paper from her roommate and looks at it under the light, noticing a small, barely noticeable symbol.

"What is it?" Vada asks, tilting her head. She has seen it somewhere before, she just can't put her finger on it. Wednesday shrugs and quickly leaves the room, heading to Weems' office.

Vada sighs and follows, standing outside of the door. She can hear Weems talking but not much. She is making Wednesday pick an extracurricular activity. Wednesday walks out soon enough and passes Vada calmly. "What are you going to pick?" She asks the girl.

"Something dark." Wednesday says calmly, walking outside. "Good luck with that. This school tries to keep the dark out of everything." Vada informs. She waited by the door, watching Wednesday go to the choir, talk with Bianca and leave after breaking a poor guys glasses from hitting a high note.

"Not what you wanted?" Vada asks as Wednesday passes once again. Wednesday shakes her head. "There's still plenty to choose from."

Vada smiles and follows again, slightly faltering when they near the archery area. She decides to let Wednesday do this on her own. She stands back as Wednesday walks over, making small talk with Xavier as he shows her how to shoot.

"When was the last time you seen Rowan?" Wednesday asks. Xavier scoffs. "You mean the one that got attacked and killed by a monster?" He shakes his head.

"The harvest festival. Haven't talked to him since but his side of the room was all packed up this morning. He's always been off but the last couple of weeks he's been more erratic. I think the telekinesis messed with his head, ya know?" He says simply. He aims another arrow. "So what's the deal with you and Tyler?" He asks.

Vada perks up at the mention of Tyler, moving slightly closer to hear Wednesday's answer. It could be a clue for Rowan's death.. right?

"He was doing me a favor of driving me out of town." Wednesday answers calmly, taking the bow and arrow from Xavier.

"Yeah well, Tyler and his friends are a bunch of jerks. Stay clear." Xavier advises. "They can't stand this place." He catches sight of Vada and goes silent. "Why is she here?" He asks Wednesday.
