Five Weeks Later

Callista's plan has been slow, but everything is going according to plan.

"Relax, this is going well," Venita said, walking beside Callista.

"I know but we still have a lot of work to do," Callista responded.

"It will be fine," Venita said, walking away to assist a group with aiming a bow.

Callista watched as they practiced fighting and getting everything together. Callista then made her way toward the old library away from the public eye. She still couldn't believe this was happening. Two weeks ago, everyone seemed to hate her and was uncertain about her. There are still others that treat her the same, but a lot of them are treating her differently like she was important, and Callista doesn't know how to respond to that.

Callista arrived at the library and grabbed a book. She opened the book and started reading, getting lost in the story. She didn't make it far in the book because her head started pounding, so she gave up on the book, chucking it across the room. Instead of hitting the wall and falling on the floor, the book disappeared.

Callista slowly walked to the wall. She started to hit the wall and heard a hollow sound, and she could feel the cool air. She turned to face a different wall. She was pounding on the wall to see if it was hollow or not. She continued to do this to three other walls, but they all sound the same except one. Callista moved back to the previous wall. She tried to slide the wall but nothing happened. She tried hitting the wall but still nothing. She threw a book but still nothing.

"Why are you throwing a book at a wall?" Someone snarled.

Callista turned around to see the one person she wished not to see: Lucais.

"Why do you care?" Callista asked with the same tone as him.

"I don't," he said, looking at the wall and then back at Callista. "I'm very curious as to why

you're abusing a wall.

"There is something behind this wall, and I'm trying to figure out what," Callista said, turning back to the wall. "If you want to be useful, then you can help me with this wall."

Lucais looked around the room before answering, "Did you try pushing the wall?"

"Of course I did!" Callista yelled. She then thought about it and tried to push it. The wall moved after she pushed it.

"You were saying," Lucais said, walking in front of her.

Callista soon followed suit, muttering, "I don't need your comments."

Callista soon believed that the hallway goes on forever because they had been walking for five minutes. As they walked, Callista could see torches placed on the wall, and when they walked closer, the torches lit up like magic.

They soon reached a big room, and the walls were covered with photos of people. Each person in the photos, she couldn't recognize. They weren't from Nebeus or this town. She kept walking and looking around, but then she stopped at a picture.

A picture is of a man and a woman staring at the camera, smiling. She took off the necklace that she was wearing and opened it. She took out the photo inside and compared it to the picture on the wall. To her surprise, the photos were identical.

Callista was only one year old when her parents died, but she knew what it was like when they were alive. She always kept a photo of them and kept it in her necklace hoping they were still alive.

"Why are you looking at two dead people?" Lucais asked. Callista froze for a second. "How do you know they're dead?" "I'm just assuming," he said. "Why are you looking at them?"
