"Wake up, sis. We're going to be late for school," a sweet voice filled my ears.

"I don't wanna..." I said, still sleepy.

"We will play at the school playground after. Don't you want that?"

I slowly opened my eyes. "Really?"

"Yes."

"Promise?"

"I promise..."

I felt the rays of the sun knocking on my eyelids. Mariin kong ipinikit ang mga mata at kinusot ito. I slowly rose from my bed and stretched my arms.

Ah... I had a dream again... with her. 

Well, it's a good thing I didn't cry when I woke up. Madalas akong umiiyak 'pag napapanaginipan ko siya. But the dream I had was a happy one. Might as well remember it when I feel sad.

I went to the bathroom to do my skincare and prepare for school. I wore a beige vest with a long-sleeve polo underneath and faded boyfriend jeans.

When I went down our grand staircase, I saw Mommy and Daddy having breakfast.

"Bonjour, maman et papa."

There was no reaction. I've kinda got used to it. Daddy is reading the morning newspaper while Mommy is reading some pending cases. Tanging ang mga kasambahay lamang ang gumagawa ng ingay. I sat on my seat and ate my breakfast quietly.

This is just a normal morning for me. Kung hindi naman ay pagsasabihan ako ni Mommy sa harap ng pagkain. Minsan ay si Daddy if Mommy had enough of me. Kumpara kay Mommy, mas kalmado magsalita si Daddy pero ramdam mo ang pagtitimpi sa kanyang boses.

After the quiet breakfast, I got my bag, kissed my parents on their cheeks, and bid goodbye. Bago ako makalabas ng pintuan ay sinabihan ako ni Mommy na kailangan kong talunin ang top 1 ng batch namin. I pursed my lips and just nodded obediently.

I don't want to compete. I just want them to see my efforts and just be proud of me.

Hindi pa ako nakakarating sa university ay pagod na ako. All I do is sigh nang bigla kong namataan si Tatay Ernie.

"Maganda umaga, 'nak!" bati niya and it made me smile.

"Good morning, 'Tay Ernie!"

He opened the door for me and thanked him. Pero bago niya isinara iyon ay nagsalita siya.

"'Nak, sasabay raw si Kaihler ngayon. Dadaanan muna natin siya sa bahay nila. Okay lang ba sa 'yo 'yon?"

I was surprised but I didn't show it to Tatay Ernie. That freaking Kaihler! Hindi niya man lang sinabi sa akin na sasabay siya today!

"O-Of course po!" 

We ended up waiting for Kai in front of his house. I saw their front door open and iniluwa siya roon. Kai is in his typical good-boy outfit. Kahit hindi naman siya good. A simple cream shirt and black trousers, and he's holding a ziplock bag in one of his hands.

My eyes widened when I remembered something. I looked at my clothes and it's the same color as his!

Nang buksan niya ang pinto, bumungad agad ang kanyang gwapong ngiti. I blinked a few times. What's with his smile today? Tss.

"Before you comment on anything, this is unintentional," I pointed to our outfits. "Or you're just gaya-gaya lang talaga?"

"Gaya-gaya lang talaga," he mimicked in an annoying, small voice. "Good morning to you, too, Shantal."
