Jaemin's POV

A hand furiously shook my shoulders as I slowly gained consciousness.

"Jeno?" I asked and the person beside me laughed. Ahh that has to be Mark.

He helped me slowly get to my feet as the strangers around me began to clamour. The once filled dome was now reduced to strangers scattered around a table. And the once colourful lights were singled down to a spotlight shining on the middle of the stage where the players gathered.

What was going on?

"If this is a camera prank it's not funny," I hissed to Mark as we made our way around the strangers looking for any sign of our teammates.

I was shook out of my stupor as a shaking body suddenly collided with me from behind.

"Chenle! Jisung! Oh thank goodness you're here and safe." I exclaimed as Mark too went to embrace our frightened maknes.

So that just left Hyuck, Jeno and Renjun. The four of us shared unspoken words and concluded that they were all safe and sound waiting for everyone to reunite.

Wishful thinking

"No signal!" Chenle exclaimed whilst Jisung whacked his gaming console, trying to make it work.

Mark, as the oldest and most responsible person here was silently observing the other dozen people and was thinking about this strange phenomenon. After a few seconds of watching the silent arena he came to a decision.

"Jisung and Chenle, I need you to run towards the exit to try to get some signal and see if there's any help outside. Jaemin and I will stay here to see what's going on and we'll meet at the entrance ok? What ever you do, just stick together."

Jisung and Chenle gave us a determined look and ran towards the exit, weaving through the stands.

After noticing they were safe and sound, we followed everyone else and took two phones each.

I shrugged. It seemed important so might as well take one more each for the babies.

Rule: Players must escape the venue before it collapses

Time limit: None

Mark and I exchanged a glance before a clear voice rung out.

"Name: boiling death"

A long eruption suddenly rung out as a massive geyser, full of sizzling, boiling water erupted from the ground.

We stood there in shock as a fizzling limb rolled towards us. Mark wasted no time in grabbing my hand and running to the exit as more explosions and screams could be heard from behind us.

This was real. Never in a million years did I think I would be running hand in hand with Mark Lee away from our immediate death.

Hearing a hiss, I saw Mark stumble as a searing burn slapped across his thigh.

This wasn't a dream.
