~~ Present Time ~~

When I woke up I was supprised to find myself in a hospital with lots of wires hooking me up to all this machinary with one of those masks on my face. Then I realised that my dream wasn't a dream, it had actually happened. I tried to sit up but it sent the whole room spinning and the nurse told me to lie back down.
"Mum!" I croaked.
"Now now, your mum's fine but she's still in a coma." The nurse said. She saw the worried look on my face and decided to change the subject, "We were really worried about you," she said "we didn't know how long you'd be in a coma for. If it wasn't for this machine," she gestured vaguely towards the heartbeat monitor that I was hooked up to, "we'd have thought you were dead!"
"Then how long have I been asleep for?" I questioned, suddenly aware that I must have been asleep for a long time.
"Oh, er about a year or so"
I was shocked. Had I really been asleep in this hospital for a year?!
"Yes, I thought you'd be supprised when I told you" said the nurse " but it doesn't matter so long as you get better it doesnt matter how long you stay here."

But it did matter.
