"Decoy"
"For now it's the best, if we stay in here. You still have the knife, I gave you before?"
Takuya nodded. He was clearly very scared but tried really hard, not to show it.
"But I won't have to kill anyone, right?" he asked quietly.
"I can't promise you that. Just like, that I won't have to kill you in the end."
"You're kidding, aren't you?"
Sayaka slightly tilted her head to the side and smiled.
"Thirty minutes have passed. There are currently 19 survivors."
•
"Please, don't kill m-!" A woman shouted but it was already too late.
A small group of people has formed. Everyone had a weapon and was ready to kill every single person in the school, in order to survive. In the end they would most likely start killing each other, so only one person would be left: the winner. Dumb? Yes
"We're going to need a plan: there are many people hiding in the school so I suggest splitting up, so we can kill more people at the same time. At the same time we can look for more weapons." A very muscular man explained. "Let's make pairs of two. Then there's going to be one pair on each floor."
Finally something smart came out his mouth.
"One hour has passed. There are currently 15 survivors."
•
"They are pretty slow at killing, don't you think." Sayaka stated.
"Ten people in only one hour?! Doesn't seem slow to me. We could be next at any time."
"You think it's time for us to finally do something?" the girl sighed clearly bored. "The chances that someone will kill us in the next four hours are pretty high, so I'd say we should go to the ground floor because if a group formed then they are probably done searching it." she suggested.
"But it's going to be hard, to not get noticed while doing so."
"I know. That's why we have weapons after all."
Takuya had nothing better to do than to follow Sayaka and her plan. Both knew that it was going to be very dangerous. They didn't know if and how many groups have formed, what weapons they had and how dangerous they actually were.
With the gun in her hands, Sayaka got out of the principals office first with Takuya following her."Don't worry, we are not going to kill anyone if it's not going to be necessary." she calmed Takuya down.
Both of them quietly and quickly moved to the stairs. And then it happened. Probably because of his nervousness, Takuya tripped over his own feet and fell down the stairs causing a pretty loud noise. Fortunately he wasn't hurt but that sound could definitely be heard even from the first floor. Sayaka quickly ran to him and dragged him with her while running down the stairs to the second floor, where she immediately went into the first classroom she saw.
"Are you insane?" Sayaka tried to express her anger as quit as possible.
"I'm sorry." the boy whispered.
Footsteps could be heard from the corridor on the second floor. They were slow, so Sayaka immediately understood that I had to be someone with a weapon, trying to kill everyone in this building. Everyone else was probably hiding or running away from the death.
"Open a window." Sayaka told Takuya.
The boy did as said.
"Now go out of it and just hold the down part of the window frame." She continued explaining.
"What?! But what if I fall!?"
"It's just for like 30 seconds. Now do as I say."
Takuya stared at Sayaka one more time, before getting out of the window and hanging down the white wall of the school, while holding the window frame with his hands. His hands could still be seen from the room.
Right after that, Sayaka kicked a chair, causing a loud noise. Afterwards she quickly went to the corner, located right next to the door.
As expected a man came in pro the classroom, holding a gun. Of course, he almost immediately noticed Takuya's hands and with a big psychopathic smile on his face, he slowly began walked in that direction. Little did he know, when he reached the window, Sayaka sneaked behind him and pointed her gun at his head.
"Give me your gun." she told him.
But the man didn't even hesitate to turn around and kick Sayaka in her stomach, which was the worst mistake he could make: the girl went over to him again, this time kicking his balls and pushing him, which caused him falling out of the window.
She didn't even want to look out of the window, just to see the man's lifeless body on the ground. Instead, she took Takuya's hand and helped him to get into the classroom again."So I was a decoy!?" The boy shouted angrily. "He could kill me, you know that?"
"He would kill both of us, if I didn't come up with a plan, don't you think?" Sayaka defended herself calmly. "And yes, you were a decoy. Be happy, that for once you weren't useless."
The boy didn't respond anything and just sat on one of the chairs.
"I just don't want to die." A few tears ran down his cheeks.
"Look, we don't have times for any deep talk now, so let's go." Sayaka opened the door and as ready to go. "Are you coming."
Silence
"No."
"Happy dying then. Bye."
The girl didn't even turn around to look at the boy. She ran down the stairs, as quietly as possible until she reached the ground floor.
She didn't even waste her time, thinking about Takuya and what was going to happen to him. After all she gave him a choice, so she didn't feel guilty at all.
Sayaka didn't hear anything or anyone on the ground floor so she assumed she was safe there. She decided to search the classrooms on that floor for some useful stuff.
She slightly opened the door of a classroom to check if somebody was inside. Indeed, she noticed a old woman sitting in the left corner of the classroom. In heart games no one could be trusted so Sayaka decided to move on to the next classroom, which turned out to be completely empty. No desks, no chairs, nothing.
A perfect place to hide something. Normally almost everyone would just walk to the next classroom, but Sayaka couldn't be fooled so easily.
She searched every single corner of the room, until something sticking out of the sundown frame caught her attention: a small piece of paper.
Without thinking any longer about it, the girl took the paper and her eyes widened, when she read the few words written in the paper. She immediately put the paper in her pocket and turned around but couldn't make any other move because a shot could be heard and Sayaka felt a small pain in her left shoulder. Fortunately for her, the bullet only grazed her skin a little.
That was when she saw a muscular man standing a few meters in front of her, with his gun pointing at Sayaka.
